We went on a JTR tour in the early 90s and watching some KZbin videos it dawned on me that the locations have changed even since then. I never really appreciated that things never stand still, somehow I assumed that they would and it was the finished article.

This is good a still side by side would work very well its only for a minute or so Stops over rewinding but as it is the format is fantastic And also nice to see not just the old locations but the actors as well

Only been a subscriber for a few weeks, im 45 yr old and was to young to appreciate the series first time but watching the re-runs and buying the complete collection years ago turned me into a big Sweeney fan. Also i do like history looking at locations to see how they have changed, so keep up the great work 👌👍

Loving all of these vids. Absolutely brilliant! I would love to see where all of the Railway locations were. I’ve always wondered when I’ve seen them in the show. Any chance please?

There are loads of railway tracks in various episodes; quite a few are old shunting lines for power stations etc. (e.g. Sands End) that are no longer there, but there are plenty that sill are. If any come up in the course of a filming trip that I can 'get a handle on', I'll see if I can work them into the narrative.

Yes, I do have a handful of locations from Series 4 on my list that fall within NW10 - 'Bait' and 'One Of Your Own'. I'll hopefully get to film those at some point.

Apologies, I evidently missed this comment back when you posted it. You're not going nuts! (Well, you might be - aren't we all - but not in regard to the gas works.) It was used in the series and in the first movie.

I do hope that your battles with copywrite is either a thing of the past or is being managed. I'd have thought that the rights holder should only be too glad to be associated with something so well made.

Thanks :) The videos are being published OK the way I have them put together; but I make zero from them because the copyright holder (Fremantle) makes a claim on the content - so they basically get all the money the channel makes. Which means as it stands, I'm sure they're fine with that! I'm trying to assess whether I have reasonable grounds to challenge this, but for the time being at least the videos are getting up there and people seem to be enjoying them, which is the main thing.

Do you know if they filmed any episodes around Dulwich? I work on one of the estates there, Dawson's Heights, and was chatting to a guy who lived there in the 70's and 80's and he said it featured in an episode of Minder which I've found(All Mod Cons 2:8 with Toyah Wilcox) but he also said they did an episode of the Sweeney there too. Great channel by the way!

Closest I know of is the very first episode (Ringer) had a scene where Regan and Carter meet Bernard Driscoll at Dulwich Hamlets FC’s ground where he’s exercising his dog, I covered it in my blog a few years back but haven’t been back to film for this channel as yet
