I miss the good old days of the TV sign-off. I wonder if anyone understood all the technical jargon bandied about during sign-off. 🤓

The technical information was a requirement for most tv stations. Electronic engineers would get it definitely.

Another unique aspect of signoffs in Buffalo, NY that wasn’t captured here was that both the American and Canadian national anthems were played.

WTVD-TV, Channel 11, Durham/Raleigh/Fayetteville, North Carolina is a Mickey Mouse Operation. (The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of ABC and ESPN). 😀

WGRZ-TV, Channel 2, Buffalo, New York is currently owned by Tegna, Inc. (the former Gannett Broadcasting division of Gannett Company, Inc). 😀
