Would be interesting to hear your asian parents' perspectives on this a lot more. As an asian person myself, parents are so against anything outside the normal career path, that it is near impossible to pursue anything other than doctor, lawyer, banker, and so on, without receiving so much backlash from them.

I think any parent would react the way Emily's dad did if their child was graduated from a good college and had a decent job but came out and said they were gonna be a streamer. It worked out in the end but the chances of it working out is extremely low. Think how many streamers out there and how many of them can actually make a living out of streaming. It's a hobby for 99.9999% of the streamers.
