Vanessa became a personality we all got to know on Masterchef in 2023, reaching the Semi-Finals
On the back of how much she enjoyed #MasterChef, cooking foods she loves that cater for #neurodiverse individuals with sensory sensitivities in mind, and having relatively recently been diagnosed with #autism, Vanessa has branded herself ‘The Autistic chef’
This revelation, along with having now also been diagnosed with #ADHD, has allowed Vanessa to focus on understanding where they may conflict, and to understand her own behavioural #habits and #triggers, and put coping mechanisms in place.
This really interests me as it’s clear so many people are striving to get through their days with a mask on with no idea they may well have Autism or ADHD - and like in Vanessa’s case, misdiagnosed!
Vanessa was previously #misdiagnosed with the symptoms of #ocd and an #eatingdisorder
How many people are in this position battling to get through every day totally unaware?? 🧐
