YES!! My parents' LP of their greatest hits was a regular listen at our house growing up. I bought the cassette of that album 20 years later for my own kids to listen to.

Ahhh, The 50's. The music back then was magical and 100% authentic. This tune was a radio standard for a long time. Still sounds better than most anything produced in the past 30 years..... YES..."PURE"

The lead singer, Tony Williams, was one of best vocalists of the '50s era. The Platters were an R&B group in California until Buck Ram, a Jewish songwriter and manager came along and transformed them into one of the most popular and successful singing acts of that time. He wrote a number of their biggest hits including "Only You". I would love it if you could do a reaction to another great singer that came out of that era, Jackie Wilson, particularly "Lonely Teardrops" and "She's So Fine".

I was born four months after this song was released, I listened to their music all my life ❤ You should try their « Winner Take All » or « Sixteen Tons » and also appreciate their bass singer. Greetings from France 🇫🇷

This takes me right back to a slow- dance at the Friday night dance at the YMCA near our High School. You could always count on The Platters for the slow dance. They were one of the groups at the start of what became Rock & Roll!

Great music. Clyde Mcphatter is awesome. He sang with the Drifters and solo. I know it's not the right time of year but Clyde's voice shines in White Christmas with the Drifters. Have fun listening to these great old tunes.

The Platters is my favorite Motown group! Done a lot of great songs! The lead singer is Tony Williams and he's one of my favorite voices! I hope you react to another Platters song! "Smoke Gets In My Eyes" is a really popular song and 2 of my favorites are "My Prayer" and "It's Raining Outside." 2 of their bigger hits are "The Great Pretender" and "Twilight Time." Great group and I never get bored with listening to them!
