Or some kid who's 18 taking his parents Tesla out for a spin.... >__< Also, aren't we going a bit overboard with these EVs reaching speeds this quickly? How is this even safe? I know some may argue....well Lamborghini's are fast.....yeah but you barely see those on the roads and they are not as attainable for most people. Tesla's I see everyday driven by normal people. Imaging that most EV's could be this quick is a bit crazy and dumb considering there is speed limits and pedestrians everywhere. the steering wheel looks so ugly and uncomfortable. I don't understand why car companies make changes like these to cars. If it ain't broke why fix it? OR EVEN MAKE IT WORSE?

the steering wheel now identifies as something else 🤣

I would rather have more miles per charge than having a car that fast

well the thing is that if you want maximum range on the new model s and x you would need to buy the plaid plus wich is the fastest one.
@makatron4 жыл бұрын
But the longest range and fastest is the same model mate.

Plaid plus has both lol. Over 500mi range is mind boggling

I imagine that if you put it into "sedate" mode (or whatever it's called), that's exactly what you'll get!

Well, it’s only logical that to have this kind of interior. The steering « wheel » without any top (also, it’s in the Cybertruck), not having any gear selector, nor any turn signals... All that because you are not supposed to drive your car ! And I’m deadly serious. The main focus of Tesla has always been fully autonomous vehicles. Why do you need a wheel or any buttons when your car is doing the driving ? I really hate it, it still confirm that Tesla isn’t a brand for me, but eh, I guess this is the future of automobile in a sense.
@cm-154 жыл бұрын
I understand what you’re saying, but with a car this powerful, I’d like to control the car the best you possibly could. I don’t think anyone feels comfortable going as fast as this car can, while the car is driving itself.
@traind4 жыл бұрын
They drove a prototype around Laguna Seca in 1min 30 sec, which is hugely fast. But if they are saying you can track this, don't you need a full steering wheel to deal with oversteer? Yes, awd, but 1000hp? How do you countersteer with no wheel top, lol.
@SgtKanyo4 жыл бұрын
The steering wheel without a top half, no drive selector (holy shit wtf?) just proves to me once again that Tesla is made for people who don't know anything about cars, but want to show off and claim they can "beat" supercars. Sure in a straight line it's faster and possibly not just 0-60 mph, but even 0-125 mph (which is more impressive, since it's not just about AWD grip at launch), but it handles like crap. No emotion to it, other than massive G force at acceleration. Elon sure is a good business man though, he knows how to sell cars. Although on the other hand I'm wondering what tyre the new Tesla will have and on what surface can it actually reach less than 2 seconds 0-60. Is it gonna be like the Demon where it can only produce that number on a prepped surface?

Why do you need that much power in a sedan, my car is a lot “slower” with a 0 to 60 time of 4.5 seconds and I find it annoying because it’s so easy to go over the speed limit. And what the f is this no stalks thing? I guess they have to use these gimmicks to sell these crappy cars.

You guys are EXTRA Awesome 👏 Whatever the subject is you are as witty as anyone can be... keep up the good work! P.S James this steering wheel is only there to make us talk about it, it will never be available unless Elon wants 10000000000 law suits from every corner of the world 😜

Elon Musk is an insufferable child with the emotional intelligence of a stapler, but no one is complaining about ICE cars being "too fast" on the drag strip/to 60. We (as humans) like to go fast and we want to go faster, always.
@alanhorn82534 жыл бұрын
That WAS true until more normal cars got super fast, just like it was true for jet fighters until other aspects became more important and the goal became "fast enough"

Tesla is begging to overtaken by another well established auto maker. That wheel is pure trash. Most gimmicky car company by far. If they were smart they'd partner with ford or something and just provide the powerplant. Like Cummings and Dodge.
@JoshuaTootell4 жыл бұрын
GM will eventually surpass them (and I'm not a GM person).

The problem is that Tesla could make a car without a steering wheel or without doors and the fanboys would still buy it and say its the greatest car of all time
@Jake-ig2kf4 жыл бұрын
@@santiagocalderon3261 this is true. This company is so overvalued though. They are worth more than Toyota even though they only delivered under 500K vehicles, and Toyota delivered 11 million this past year. Granted Tesla is involved in other industries. I just think as soon as other automakers take the step to convert to a majority EV fleet, Tesla Autos is going to come crashing down. Or who knows? Maybe they will just continue artificially inflating their stock to be one of the most valuable companies.
