I love Christina and her sweet NY-accent.🥰🥰🥰 Even without an extra-styling like at "Masterchef" she is "super-duper-gorgeous".🤩

These cakes are soooo good. My brothers girlfriend sent me one for Christmas as well as some peppermint bark truffles 🤤 after the first bite I was in heaven and on the hunt for how these cakes are made. Lol These are going to be a huge go to gift for me from now on. You will definitely make someone’s day by sending one as a gift, or make your own day by purchasing one for yourself.

That is beautiful and watching her bake it is so satisfying.

People complaining about the price really have 0 idea about the cost of making a cake from scratch
@Danny-be1ex4 жыл бұрын
Plus the time. They’re paying for the convenience of it being made for them. She had to buy all of the ingredients plus take hours to make the cake, after getting into baking I’ll never bitch about prices regarding food again
@justmydeals3 жыл бұрын
They also forget they're paying for her expertise and the overhead for running a bakery. This is no different than paying an artist for a painting. Duff the cake guy's prices start at $1,000 for a custom cake.

Thank you so much. I love the idea. How deep is the sheet pan and how tall is the acetate sheet?

How long would the cake need to bake and at what temperature in a thin sheet pan/cookie sheet like the one you're using?

I ordered one and it’s very small, like 5 inches and has 3 layers. I wasn’t impressed at all and it was $50! It’s overwhelmingly salty and the cake was very crumbly and hard to keep together
@joltran32764 жыл бұрын
I think they're an amazing value for the money. Specially considering where they're usually sold and what other things in the area cost
@notconvinced22044 жыл бұрын
$50 dollars is typical for a cake that’s size. I’ve never tried it, but I read through the recipe of the original (the vanilla version of this cake) and it just doesn’t seem right. But then again, there’s all this hype around it. I’m gonna have to try it....
@justmydeals3 жыл бұрын
Didn't you know what size it was when you bought it?

Leave it to somebody named kimber to find a cake too salty. Way too spicy for the kimbers out there.

Does anyone know where I can get that size pan?
@dorothytucker93052 жыл бұрын
It's just a 1/4 sheet pan. Any supermarket with a baking section Or Amazon will have some. Walmart more than likely, bed bath and beyond, Macy's, sears (if you still have one) places like that. Also any kitchen store will have them too. Hope this helps!

I want to try these cakes and love them because everyone says they’re delicious, but the idea of a “milk soak” makes me gag. I’m Hispanic and I hated that we always had tres leches. Is this soggy and mushy like a tres leches cake?
@nhf71704 жыл бұрын
not really
@CheskaCanoy4 жыл бұрын
It’s not soggy unless you put a lot it’s just moist
@g33xzi11a2 жыл бұрын
Tres leches is literally submerged in so much of that soaking liquid. The idea that you think this would be at all comparable is a little bit funny.
@nylasorj Жыл бұрын
I don't like cold cake. It is for that reason that I really hate tres leches cake. It's cold, it's wet, it's not my idea of cake. I know this isn't a tres leches cake per se, but it does have milk poured over it, and it's chilled in the freezer for an hour, so . . . more for you; I'll pass 😏

I love her. Not in a crazy fan way but like if I ever met her I would be a gentlman and explain how I am in the same industry as a young man in the PNW and that I would treat her with respect and humor lmao 😊

She told Anti chef she would send him a package and then didn’t. She needs to be reminded of that so she can redeem herself. Just a thought. She seems like a nice person and I’m sure she just got bus but still. Your word is important.

Whole Foods makes amazing Jumble Walnut cookies, 6 for $5, that’s less than $1 per cookie in the expensive rent SF Bay Area. Your prices are ridiculous!
