Gruggs, I've never seen you go thru LOGS as big as "that" before! That knife chops like a lumberjack axe!!! All that work and still razor sharp? That's one top shelf, high end blade!!! I see an Extrema Ratio in my future... EXCELLENT REVIEW btw!

Looks like a very effective knife. That really is a sharpened pry bar. I have to wonder how their sales of the knife are though. That's a $400-450 knife. I'm just not seeing the price justification when there are so many other more inexpensive and competitive solutions to processing wood. But, if you gotta have it, you gotta have it regardless of the price.

Yeah, here in Italy there is the same controversy about this knife, many people would like to buy and try it, but the price stops them. Actually, i have to say, knives in böhler n690 are quite pricy in general. Take a look at Bradford's to make examples. I don't know the reason, but knives in this steel are expensive.

Local supplier here in Western Australia has a sale on where a lot of knife brands are being sold way below RRP. I used the opportunity to buy several Extrema Ratio knives one of which is a Selvans. It was a bucket list knife for me ever since I saw it on the DBK channel. Extrema Ratio make very nice quality knives. Luckily I like their handle design as well but can understand that it is not everyone’s cup of tea. The Selvans cost me just over US$300 which I thought was an absolute bargain.
