From the wall of floor to ceiling built-ins to the wood beadboard ceiling, limewash walls, and century-old hardware, this bedroom gave me a run for my money. But I'm so happy with how it turned out!

It is a beautiful room, and I love the dark teal. Thanks for showing us the real color of the lime wash. It is much prettier than what the camera shows.

I love the dog bed window seat! It's so practical. This is a real home, not some stage room 😂 love that you're keeping it real. Can't wait to see it in use by a precious feline.

The cable hack is genius! I work best alone and that's a great solution! This room turned out so beautiful, love watching your work!

Working overhead is brutal, that ceiling makes by neck hurt just looking at it.

Wow - that's a whole lot of going up and down the ladder to do the ceiling, won't have to go to a gym for months with that kind of work out. The ceiling looks really good and a great way to cover the old one. Love the lime washed walls, it looks good and really works in this room. Yes - on showing how you made the sconce, always good to see "how to" on diy projects. Hardware - I like the tip of painting it black 1st, then rub n' buff - good tip. Actually the room color looks more dark greenish to me and really do like the color, nice choice for a bedroom. Hope you show the room when it's finished and I'm all for a video of the bank of built ins. Nicely done!

I just love, love, love the wall of storage you made! And the wood on the ceiling looks stunning! I am looking forward to learning about the lighting, as I am not comfortable about wiring in stuff, but a rechargeable light would be amazing to have in various places in my home. Thank you for all the work you put into your projects, especially taking the extra time in filming it so it is understandable. Im looking forward to seeing how your parent's whole home turns out! And what all the other outside projects end up being. That greenhouse looked so fascinating.

Before it even starts…there is a time and place for beige walls, they are very easy to work with, color can be brought in with soft goods. BUT I really prefer colored walls! The color you chose is a lovely, and versatile color. Almost thirty years ago now I was looking to do cute rooms for my children. I was on a budget, and went to a paint and wallpaper store, I got a gallon of paint very similar to that, paired it with a cream, red, and gray stripe wallpaper, topped with 101 Dalmatians border. Even though there was no green in the stripe it tricked the eye somehow. It was so perfect. Later when we sold I updated the wallpaper, something sophisticated, buyers were older, but kept the paint. Great color!

Hi, I LOVE the trim and cupboard colours with the wood! Gorgeous, but the lime wash would really mess with my eye, 😂 it does look great, but ocd wins every time. 🙏🖐🏻🇬🇧✨

I am very torn, our cathedral ceiling is popcorn, no asbestos. If I decide to scrape it, I will have to skim coat, because the builders did not do a good job on the drywall seams. I know this because I already scraped the dining room which has a short flat ceiling. The tongue in groove is an option, but will obviously be costly, it is a large room. Either way we will have to purchase or rent some scaffolding. In your room I think it was an excellent choice.

Did you keep notes on how many ladder climbers this ceiling required? Girl, you the boss!

Love the built-ins and the ceiling. I'm not sure the lime wash effect trend is worth the effort. Not a comment on this specific decor look (the room looks amazing), I'm just making a generic comment on the trend itself and hearing the learning curve everyone has that does this. Is it worth it?

Completely agree! I wanted to try it because 1) I never have and like to learn new techniques and 2) because with ceilings this tall, I’ve found that when I just paint them a solid color, they look too empty. My dad said no wallpaper or fancy trim, so I wanted something that would add dimension, and lime wash fit the bill! But the good news is that if we want to change it later, it’s just a simple coat of paint away.

Sorry, the wardrobe is overwhelming to me. Need to see the room with furniture in it to put the wardrobe in perspective.

You said sad beige! What about all this dark colors you are using… this room is going to be so dark and gloomy…I choose the sad beige! But I know .. Every body seems to like all these kind of green.. it is just a trend… a sad trend!
