Usually you see these kind of series as part of a spring cleaning kind of thing but I think doing it this time of year in GENIUS! Everything will be decluttered and ckean before you decorate for Christmas and start the holiday season. I even got inspired and went through mine and my boys rooms and we are gonna tackle our dreaded junk room this weekend! Thank you Ashley!

Thank you for motivating me to go through my two year old granddaughter’s toys. She has her own room here that she shares with her cousin who is one. I don’t keep the one year old as much as I do the two year old, so I started thinking a couple weeks ago about rotating toys and separating the toys out that are too little for her, but perfect for the one year old still. I’ll put the toys geared towards the little in a clear tote so when she comes to visit I can get toys out more geared for her age group. Also, good tip about the socks. I didn’t even think about it until you talked about it and it makes total sense. I’ll try to buy only white socks for now on for my Grandkids.

Moving her clothes higher up does not make you mean. Just keeps you from having to do unnecessary extra laundry. My now 11 year old used to love changing clothes during the day. Thank goodness he’s grown out that, lol.

Today I am going to finish cleaning around the tub in our bathroom. It had pre-baby pants that don't fit, work pants for a job I dont hae anymore and probably 6 years worth of dust built up. Time to move on and clean up!

I like the ring light for the brighter view. Also, I happen to have that exact same vacuum. Is your vacuum really hard to push like mine or do I “need” to buy a new one? 🤣

Slightly sick Mumma here with 3 slightly sick toddlers (2 of whom are also teething 🥴) so no high hopes for getting much done around here today…but it makes me feel better to see stuff being done somewhere else 😂! PS. Totally agree with you about Montessori! I love it in theory, but in reality, it gets a bit nuts…for us, it’s snacks! They were just into the snacks ALL THE TIME, so I ended up with crumbs EVERYWHERE. And ants. And a big grocery bill.

Whenever I can honestly! When my girls were that age I would do some cleaning during nap time, before they woke up or while they were playing in the morning since that was when they were in the best mood.

You are not a mean or controlling mother because you moved her close to the top of her closet. It's great to give them a bit of independence, but doing laundry every day is excessive!
