I would suggest maybe having someone come over the next time you want to do one of these! I always find myself getting rid of more and being more honest/not making excuses for keeping things. It’s helped me a lot! I always have my boyfriend help me out..cause you could wear a different outfit every day for a year at this point lol

I think I mentioned in the video- but because I make primarily fashion videos, I am lucky enough to work with a lot of brands on campaigns/ haul videos for their new collections so I receive a lot of gifted pieces each season.. I have the space for it, so why not utilize it? I try to go through everything often & regularly give pieces I’m not wearing to friends / family. Hope you enjoyed the video nonetheless 😅

I’m listing all of the items I’m not wearing anymore on poshmark so people that like the brands / styles can have them & they can be worn !!! I am going to a lot of effort to make sure that the clothes I am not wearing do get worn - that’s why I’m listing them on poshmark. I also donate some items, & give them to friends / family members. I recycle them, never throw away. It’s really hard to get away from fast fashion completely , I post hauls with affordable brands because not everyone can afford to shop sustainably. This video encourages viewers to recycle their clothing. 💕

Since I am primarily a fashion content creator, I work with clothing brands very often on collabs / clothing hauls to promote their new collections so I receive quite a bit of gifted clothing! That’s why I have so much. Some of it is new & hasn’t been shown in videos yet, etc. I only promote brands I love & choose clothing I would wear so this is all clothing I rlly like and plan on showing in future outfit videos. This is how I organize the clothing I receive & own. I am cleaning out my closet because I don’t wear / need all of this !! Hopefully this helps explain 😅😊

First of all, where do you get the majority of your clothes? They’re all adorable (especially all the pastel yellows I’m obsessed) and second of all just a side comment but I had to laugh at the swimsuit part because I also own too many and never ever go swimming. Yes, they are all different lol 😅 Some are tank tops, some are crop tops, some graphics, some button ups, some sweaters, jackets, etc. all diff styles in one place. I wear white a lot because it is a good basic for layering. I guess I have collected a lot over the years 🙃

I did donate some! Most of the clothing is very new & I get a lot of dms / requests to post on poshmark so I usually post recently shown items on there so viewers that have seen them in a haul / outfit video can enjoy them! The places I would donate them to (thrift stores) are just going to sell them for the same price I am on poshmark. (I sell them all for low prices bc I am not trying to make $$, just trying to get get rid of them & have someone else enjoy them!) also most of the items on my poshmark are items I have bought! There are some gifted items but it’s not the majority of my listings 😊

I wouldn't call getting rid of 50 items out of 1000 "extreme". But your overconsumption is extreme for sure. Even if you donate these clothes or resell them, it is still so fast fashion supporting it makes my heart break.

I understand why you might assume this, but the “overconsumption” you are seeing is a result of my job- I am primarily a fashion creator and work with clothing brands regularly to promote their new collections in hauls, outfit videos etc so I receive a decent amount of gifted pieces. I actually give a lot of them to friends / family at the end of each season (the ones I haven’t worn etc) .. as fas as the fast fashion, it’s really hard for someone with a normal income to get away from it completely. So I post hauls with affordable brands because not everyone can afford to shop sustainably. This video however, encourages people to recycle their clothing and give it a new home. I am listing the items on poshmark (& donating some) so that they can be worn and used since I am not.
