Hi Tim, amazing video! Coincidentally (or not), I helped my mom clean out her closet a few days ago! There was that moment in the video where you were wondering whether you're a minimalist or not. I would definitely call you one! I also love fashion and have a lot of items of clothing and yet I do consider myself a minimalist, because it 'sparks joy' for me to own different styles of clothes and have many options when creating an outfit. Remember, minimalism isn't about getting rid of stuff, it's about letting go of objects that don't serve you and don't make you happy. Keep up the good content!:)
@TimDessaint4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Evelin! So glad you enjoyed the video 😊 I definitely see what you mean and I actually do sort of think I am one, for the reasons you just mentioned, but I tend to lean on the cautious side with labels, because not everyone understands the nuances as well as you clearly do, and I feel like I'd activate some hardcore minimalist keyboard warriors if I labeled myself as one haha!

I'm in this phase of wanting/wearing 'souvenir' jackets. Lol like the ones that have embroidery and are reverse-able. There are soo many nice and intricate designs I've seen. From name brand high end, to more touristy ones of places, to vintage ones from the 70's/80's. I think they look amazing and soo cool. Paired with something simple like a plain white shirt tucked into some black pants, or some variation of solid colors with the main piece being the jacket. I've only had one for a long time, but I've seen so many over the years and have been tempted to get another one. The only thing holding me back from getting them is they're kinda pricey lol but they look so nice. Maybe I'll be lucky and finally cop one that I like in my size, somewhere 🤞 I brought this up because of the grey fleece with the orange you decided to keep. Reminded me of my struggle lol I literally go online shopping and fill my cart... And then slowly find reasons why I need them that make sense. Slowly, the cart is emptied as they're not necessary. They're wants. But for some reason if I didn't have another jacket, that'd be a reason. Cause at least if the quality is made well, it'll last long too 😁

Hey man, i just wanna take the time to really thank you for your content. I have been trying to find a channel like yours for awhile as a young 23 year old who still dresses like he's 15 more often than not. Everytime I would look up a youtuber for fashion advice i would stumble upon mostly 30 plus year olds who wear suits and dress shirts everyday and fill their shit with ads. I'm learning a lot from watching you over the last day or so and it made me realize how my staples are mostly shirts with prints on them(he i even wear a psychedelic cat shirt unironically) and I need to change that and get it together.
