I Got My Closet Professionally Organized

It's time.... to declutter. Again. So a few months ago we got my makeup collection professionally organized, and it was very, very exciting - so I asked our professional organizer friends at Practically Perfect to come back and help me tackle all of my personal clothes in my closets (and drawers and cabinets). Chaos ensued, but we eventually got it under control and ended up with a beautifully file-folded bedroom!
PS: also, saw the comments about the fiddle leaf fig plant and the cat - thanks for the heads up! for ur peace of mind, crusty is not a leaf chewer at all (and he has not tried with this plant at all either), but we will keep him away from it for sure!

All the key tips from this video: 1. Get everything out to declutter - sort into keep, donate, and a “maybe” category (you’ll have to eventually decide on) 2. Fold everything into squares or rectangles and file them in a way where you can see them all at once 3. Consider moving things around so they’re somewhere that makes sense based on how often you use them/who is using them 4. Invest in organization tools/items, like: pants hangers, drawer dividers, baskets for hats/accessories, jewelry organizers 5. Invest in more hampers or organized hampers The main lesson I learned from this is that there are always ways to optimize the space you have!

Welp I'm late to this party but in case it could possibly help anyone going forward. If you have planters fasciitis then please go get professionally measured for your shoes. This does not mean go into your local shoe shop like payless or shoe sensation or even your department store to get measured. Because if the person "measuring" you just has you stand on the "foot measurer" and takes that number from where your toes are ending at, its wrong. I've work way too much with shoes in the past and the sheer amount of people that I would get in who suffered from severe foot pain was terrible. Ill fitting shoes can cause/ make planters fasciitis so much worse and cause other foot deformities. If you can find a locally ran shoe store, they typically will do professional fittings. Also try going to a work boot store like a red wing store (also calling ahead to double check if they do fittings is also great, though most places don't actually make you set an appointment and its normally free of charge). Also a great sign that the person who's measuring knows what they're doing is that they want you to try on a couple pairs of shoes so they can physically check your size. If you can't find a place to get properly fitted then the rule of thumb (I'm sorry for the pun) that most people will recognize from when they were kids, is that you have a thumb's width from the end of your toe to from the end of the shoe. You should be able to wiggle your toes in a pair of shoes. They should not "fit like a glove". Also your feet continue to change with age. If the rest of you is changing, then why wouldn't your feet? That's why for a lot of people they think their shoe size is fine because they've been wearing that size since highschool/ college which was 10+ years ago. As a person ages your arch naturally falls and elongates the rest of your foot as a result. And this typically takes years to notice since a whole size difference in a pair of shoes is about an eighth of an inch. Though if you get professionally fitted and been wearing the wrong size for years and then switch to a larger size don't be surprised if your size changes a couple times shortly after that because you're finally allowing your foot muscles to relax from being restrained for years. Sorry for the rant from an ex-shoe consultant, but I don't like people being in pain. So if this word vomit helps even one person then that's a win.

That might have been the point. A lot of youtubers I watch have said they don’t like to film their homes because it makes it really easy for potential theives to know exactly where all their stuff is, plus exits and all that.
