I never tape off the glass if I’m painting window trim or door trim. I paint it and get way in to the line between glass and wood. When completely dry, I run a sharp razor blade down the line, then run it flat down and I get the cleanest line and window possible. It saves so much time.

I use a pointed paint brush I found on Amazon. Life savers. No taping required. It gets in tight spots. I love them.

you could use that bookcase as a sideboard in your dining room. Laying on its side, its the right height for a side board. add cleats and shelves to keep it open storage or find doors/ hinges to create closed storage.

So far so good! Absolutely love the walls! Have you ever thought about putting a nice heavy piece of glass on that antique table? It would keep food from falling into the cracks, but it would also make it dressier. My mother had done this with a table made from Old Barn-wood.

Drew, I love that color! Sometimes my husband will paint a room, where we both pick out the color, sometimes it's a hit or miss. You nailed it! You work so hard, and Justin is such a good friend to help you!! Painting is hard work, but you guys make it look so easy! STUNNING. An antique credenza would be perfect, and decorating a large buffet credenza is the funnest thing in the world. Imagine if you painted those windows and door the same dark brown as in the living and add the diamond muntins?

Maybe you could use the bookcase on the wall turned sideways as you have it on the floor. Add shelves and do your decorating on the shelves, maybe handmade pottery dishes, cups, etc. I think the inside of the bookcase needs to be the color of the walls.

You can also just do a clear coat on the tape instead of the brown paint to seal the line! That way there is no dark paint to have to cover.

It looks like beautiful parchment paper and I love the dark woods. Even though you get a lot of light etc I personally love dark tones and rooms and how warm, cosy and comfortable I feel in them and not many people take the chance on deeper and darker tones. I get very little natural light in my present house and apart from being unable to keep plants alive in there it isn’t an issue at all. It always has a lovely glow.

I would keep the bookcase on the wall where it is and add a couple of off set shelves on both sides for display of antique dining/kitchen "things" , books , etc. Luv the room. The opposite wall could be a kind of gallery wall of family , extended family, etc. Holiday, special occasion, and just fun dinners and tables capes.
