Oh Beverly I just don’t even know what to say. Every time I watch your video I am truly amazed at how you put everything together. I love your music that is so calm and easy to listen to. I just adore your style, mood, everything you create in your ‘world’- it’s just whimsical, enchantingly wonderful- and on a side note - I really think McKenzie Child should be sponsoring your videos BIG TIME at this point - I mean really, I’m thinking of all the business you bring to that company- goodness gracious!! Quick story- When I was creating my son’s nursery (he’s 18 now) I found an antique Beatrix Potter book that was damaged, took pages out of it and framed them over Blue toile- omg they turned out just precious, made the whole room. So I love the idea and didn’t think to do it elsewhere in my house until this video. You can age anything painted & made of wood with fine sandpaper and a wee amount of minwax jacobean color stain. Just sand the edges till you get down to the wood underneath and then (this is the secret! ) rub some stain all over the piece and when it hits the bare wood it will naturally darken that spot. And the stain will tint the rest of the piece to a nice patina-aged looking paint job. It's very easy but time consuming depending on the size and style of whatever it is your aging. It gives old frames and furniture that perfect magical touch.
