Yep, bigger flies better. The more you get used to it the more you'll fall in love with it. Great maiden buddy...congrats!

Thanks Adam. I'm getting used to her. Just need to learn some cool tricks to really show her off.

What a gorgeous plane! It flies very smooth and responsive. I like the power of that motor, too!Great maiden! Enjoy it!

Thanks.. The power is off the charts.. Lots of fun. Now, I need to learn to fly the heck out of it.

It is the easiest plane to hover and harrier in my hanger. Congrats on the maiden and extra flights. You seem like you're in love all over again.

Yeah, that AM600 is a beast!! I love it coupled with their 115A receiver!

No doubt. The combo is amazing.. T-Motor is the only way to go for these plane.. (in my humble opinion)

Outstanding flight. Given your nerves, new, expensive plane you did awesome. I think 4000 is a perfect setup for this, which is what I use in my 60" and I prefer 5000 in my EF 540T 67. As I mentioned last video, use Epoxy next time. CA "works" but it is a lot more brittle, especially in cold weather and the strength doesn't even compare. Ironically if you watch EF's video to assemble the 67, they use epoxy.
@SteffenRC6 күн бұрын
Appreciate the info/tips. When I buy my 67", its all epoxy.... Thanks.

Well - you had great preparation in the building and set up - so you had the result of a flawless 1st. flight. You got the landings dialed in - looking nice. I believe you may develop a pretty impressive 'airshow routine' with her a little later - as you become more familiar. Great project ! 🏴☠

Yep, I need to get used to her and start expanding my aerobatic skills for sure. This plane can do anything I may want to do... Thanks

Great job Will!!! Aren’t Extreme Flight planes incredible. I’ve been flying them since 2009 and have a ton of flights on them. Keep working on it and you’ll be torque rolling it in front of you in no time.

Thanks Michael, Super happy I went with this plane. The assembly was great, she looks outstanding and flies better than I could ever.. Love to see her in your capable hands. If I plan a trip to West MI, I'll bring it..😎

I have the 60" Yak 54 v2 - such a fun plane. Still working my way down in altitude but getting more comfortable. My first EF, but not my last as I picked up a Bushmaster 84 (crazy good plane) and have a Laser 49" preordered. Thanks for your video on the motor install - helped me sort out the Bushmaster assembly.

Todd, This Laser is my first EF plane. I found myself looking at the 67" planes today.. Ha... Love it.

@@SteffenRC yeah, the whole “bigger flies better” and “balsa flies better” seems to ring true. The 84” Bushmaster is about as big as I can go given storage and transport (fuselage is about as long as the Yak), but for sport/3D 60” seems to be a sweet spot. I’m betting the 49” Laser will be great but more of a handful. I think my next one will be an Edge 540, and maybe I should measure the back of the vehicle to see if the fuselage for a 67” will fit 😀

Glad the first flights went well. I install a Rccskj Mini Power Box Eco in all my more expensive planes. I don't use the BEC in the ESC. Separate power for the receiver and servos using a 4000 Lion battery. Many other options out there for having a separate power system. Spectrum, Jeti and Power box have more expensive options. It's good insurance.

Yep, that’s a really nice plane. It needs some blue letters in those white stripes. Steffen RC would be good. I’m not a fan of CA. I would have used epoxy.
@andystoybox17236 күн бұрын
I agree 👍🏻
@5280Recreation6 күн бұрын
I already mentioned that last video, but to be fair I believe EF does mention CA for a plane this size.
@ModelAV8RChannel6 күн бұрын
The reason for CA is weight. They count grams at EF, which is why they make the best 3D/XA planes on the planet. On a 60" CA is fine, bigger than that epoxy all the way.
@5280Recreation6 күн бұрын
@@ModelAV8RChannel Respectfully I disagree you could remotely tell the difference. The delta is insignificant unless you’re an absolute clown with the amount of Epoxy you’re using. There is likely more variation in the balsa LOL.
@ModelAV8RChannel6 күн бұрын
@5280Recreation So call and ask them. I'm friends with Ben Fisher from EF and we've talked at length about the design of their planes. That's the reason they gave me on the smaller planes (60 and below). There are a lot of little things that individually are insignificant but together make a difference I suppose. Hell, they compare and weigh different tail wheel types to save a few grams. Lol. Bottom line is it doesn't matter if you get one you can put it together with anything you want to. Will will tell you that while that is what they recommend... I told him that if it were me, I'd have used epoxy on the control horns for the elevator and rudder, but that he'd probably be fine with CA on a 60. EF has tested the crap out of these things with Pilots that stress them more than you or I do.

Good morning Steffen !! It turned out really nice. The maneuver you did at 9:23, what did you call it ? and HOW do you do it ?? I want to do it with my 102" glider. Which way do you move the gimbals?? Thanks brotha !!
@SteffenRC5 күн бұрын
Scotty, Thats a pop top. Your glider probably can't do that type of maneuver. However, I'll try to describe it. Full power straight up, aileron left, cut power and apply full rt rudder and full down and center the ail. Its a tumbling thing. Need a lot of throw to make it happen.
@scottyreeves81795 күн бұрын
@@SteffenRC cool ! I WILL be trying that ! Thanks for the great info !
