Extreme Heat 24 Hour Solo Ice Camping (51°F)

(PLEASE READ) I do NOT recommend ice camping if the temperature is above 32. The night I ice camped it was still very cold at night but the day was extremely warm. I made sure people knew where I was camping and I was not the only one camping there as well, other people were set up there to camp and fish throughout the night. It was a small lake with almost 12 inches of ice in northern Minnesota. I left the morning of the extreme heat after fishing it for a while I wanted to leave before the rain. Please Please Please do not ice camp unless there is at least 8-10 inches of good ice, even so, rain and wind can be very dangerous for ice conditions. That is why I left before the rain. None the less I camped during some incredibly warm weather at my own risk, just because I did it, does not mean it’s safe. Thank you everyone and have a Merry Christmas! 🎄
