The owner Dave is a great guy. I just want to tell you what he did. I purchased a 4 player Pedestal arcade 2nd hand from the original owner. They had it made from Dave over 12 years ago. My system has only 1 Hard Drive. That’s how old it is. All the new system uses 2 drives. So now I have the arcade now it’s 6 months later. I have a issue with the motherboard. I call Dave up he walked me through some of the setting. We couldn’t get it to work. He told me to send him the motherboard and he will fix it. I shipped out the motherboard to him. I got it back in a few days fixed at NO COST. I just paid for shipping to him. That was it. Now I know he stands by his products. I wanted to add joysticks to my arcade. He gave me the websites he orders his supplies from. Very helpful on the phone and never rushes you off the phone. The build quality is above Excellent and Phone support. Just a pleasure to deal with. I’m going to upgrade my system and purchase the 2 Hard Drives from Dave. If your looking to purchase a home arcade system Dave and his guys are the best.

Incredible product made by Extreme no doubt. If you have the space and the money then full steam ahead. I had a deposit down and my total was over 7k. @SirReptitious3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's the pedestal style. And no, the whole point of buying a pedestal instead of a megacade is that you save a lot of money by using your current TV instead. Also, it takes up a LOT less room in your house which is great if you live in a small place. I'm thinking of building a pedestal for my nephew. I will do the computer part and my brother in law will do the cabinet part since he has all the tools for it. My nephew has been wanting to get a PS5 since last year, and while this isn't a PS5, I think he would be very happy to get a 2 player pedestal to hook up to his TV. He lives in an apartment, so there is no way he can fit an megacade in there.

Those 1up machines are toys for kids IMHO. Pointless to waste the money and space on a machine that plays only 1 or a few games at most. And there are already places that sell just the drives for people that are willing to build their own cabinet or don't want to wait 9 months. One I can think of is hyperarcadesystems, but I'm pretty sure there are others. A simple web search will tell you everything you need to know...

SirReptitious I would 100% agree with u but with a few modifications you could have yourself a pc based arcade that plays thousands of games. Plus they don’t take up much space or weigh several hundred pounds. Now l will agree that the screen is a little bit on the small side & the controls are too close together.

SirReptitious No I meant you can mod them by using a hdmi vga controller board & link it to a pc. The pc will sit in the back of the lower section of the cabinet. The pc I’m using can run games like nfl blitz flawlessly. Affordable but it’s powerful enough to get the job done.
@PinballMayhem3 жыл бұрын
I see your guys points, i have seen 1UP mod kits to add a RPI and change screen, plus don't forget the wrap us known to wear,, buttons and joy sucks and also the CPO wears the art out quick. And you still have a 1/2 inch thick MDF cabinet. Personally you would be better off starting with a empty arcade cabinet or building something unique. Using a 1up as a foundation is not getting you ahead. I believe the monitors may need a special controller too, not a standard hookup. in the end its all Effort/cost/quality. In the end Extreme's product are not for the person that can or wants to do it them self. If you can, power to you and go build an awesome system. Have fun and remember that's what this is all about.
