The Mario theming on the control panel is outrageous! What an incredible concept.

Awesome work...last year I made my arcade machine Alexa and Google compliant..my machine has voice control over the CRT, coin mech, RGB, lighting and audio system as well as a 1000w 5.1 THX system and remote administration and actually still looks like an arcade machine...the "wabi sabi"...the premise was to create the ultimate machine without altering the original Neo Geo big red cabinet...my machine tips in at 590 lbs loaded.

Firstly just want to say Hi and thank you for your videos and the time and effert you put into them. I have learned alot and have taken many of your thoughts ways and recomendations. So a big thank you. I am Currently Learning to build one. I have started on a Sit down two player cabinet with two stolls that fit into it. and have designs and material for my stand up two player unit. They are not going to be anything special as I preferr to do and learn or build and learn as I go along allowing me to think change and be more creative. But fingers crossed I get the concepts at lest then see what my thierd one will come out like. Have a nice day all TC

All of this looks freaking incredible coming up Daniel! There's some amazing quality-of-life things that you can sorta "cheat sheet" by watching folks who've revamped their Legends pinball cab. A *really* important one dealing with a holistic approach of the parts necessary to adding modern force feedback and keeping all the wiring elegant was posted on this channel 'Major Frenchy' over the Summer. It seems like a very complete solution which takes into consideration multiple power supplies, etc. One thing I just learned from watching it was that switching the buttons to leaf switches could improve the latency, and he even 3D printed a button holder to make it happen. Anyway I'm no shill for the channel (not even subbed), but I love your stuff so much that I want to help in even a small way, if you didn't already know all this stuff😅 I'm also a fan of having something of a standard control panel up front so the cab could generally work as a normal arcade machine too? I was thinking about this, and I wonder if such a control panel could be made to "swivel up" and sorta lock into place when in use, then unlocked and "swivel back" when not in use... Cheers❣

Yeah I saw these video’s also. Thanks! I will do my best improving the pinball cab wherever I can - but can’t promise to make it the best one out there 😅. Reading and learning everyday.

Some great looking designs, you're always pushing the envelope. I'm guessing as you build more cabinets you see other things you could do with them, and put those designs into practice. I just built a Mame/Retro system PC and have around 50K games on it, my problem is I spend more time trying to decide on a game to play than actually playing LOL.

Hi Daniel i have been following your builds for some time now and they are amazing! I have recently built my own 2 player arcade with a 32 inch screen and i would like to turn everything on with one button as you have done on your buids such as your Tron Arcade but i cannot figure it out. Can you help with how you did this? Any reply would be a great help. Keep building these amazing machines as they are an inspiration Thanks in advance.
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades2 жыл бұрын
In my case, I was lucky. The screens will turn of when not recieving signal and the 12 spots are connected to the pc PSU. Another (better) way would be to use a heavy relay. So: 115/220V into the PC, PC 12 or 5V into the relay, relay to the extention cable. This is commonly used in virtual pinball machines as well.
@billwilson67682 жыл бұрын
@@TheDanielSpies_Arcades Thank you for your quick reply i will give the relay option a try as you suggested.Thanks again Bill

One more thing if you are going to use Surround sound feedback or SSF in your cabinet use plywood for your construction material. The problem withe MDF is it is to dense to transfer sound properly through the walls of your cabinet.

I'm sorry I didn't see my previous question so I am repeating it.. how is the marquee box being held up on the pedestal. It looks like it is floating or using a hinge, but can't image a hinge that can hold the weight. Great work as always.. in awe of it.
@TheDanielSpies_Arcades2 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, I did not see any previous question? About the hinge: that is indeed not in this design yet. I am testing various options so you will need to wait a little bit to see te result 👍🏼thanks D

Would we be able to get plans that have the monster pedestal button layout and ability to add the driving pedals / steering wheel but on a cabinet form factor instead of a pedestal? I love the idea of 8 buttons for all players…
