My hair hasn’t been this moisturized until I started following this method. I did it on my wash day a week ago and my hair is still moisturized. Ty so much. I finally found my products and my routine to stick too. I’m done trying all those methods I have seen on KZbin. I’m free. The only thing I do different is I made a rosemary and cloves oil that I use to seal in that moisture because I’m low porosity and the grapeseed oil I use to make the oil is not heavy on my thin strands.

my 2nd week using this routine and I'm surprised that by day 7, my hair is still moisturised. I use a herbal hair spritz (rosemary, green tea, cloves), aunt jackie quench leave in and seal with olive oil. You actually recommended I try olive oil coz castor oil (though I love it) was weighing my hair down. I'm currently on day 4 and still good, my scalp is still a little oily so I'm able to do a scalp massage without having to add any oils. My major problem is hand in hair syndrome😩I'm always twirling my twists, twisting and untwisting, it's as if I can't help it. I try to avoid it by wrapping my head with a scarf when I get home to avoid touching it. I used to bite my nails, then I moved to touching my face, now it's my hair. I hope I'm not over touching it, putting extensions soon for 4 weeks...no touching hair
@CoilyDiaries Жыл бұрын
great to hear this is working for you. I love touching and playing with my hair too. it’s discipline we all need to learn. I try to make the “ touching “ useful so I unravel and retwist a couple of twists gently a couple of times a week as part of my retwisting routine

What if your scalp produces a large amount of sebum I mean my scalp is always oily even after washing my hair, it’s right back oily. You would think my hair is down my back with all that sebum. Should I oil my scalp with the oil concoction or just seal the moisture in on my strands only? And if I’m going longer without washing my hair how do I keep the sebum down so that I can do the routine without washing my hair so often. It’s weird, my scalp loves wash days but my hair does not
@CoilyDiaries11 ай бұрын
You have asked great questions sis! I have a video ready during this vlogmas series about how to utilize and manage sebum.
