It has been a longggg time since me and alfonso have enjoyed Persian food, we used to have it once a week back in Canada! Today we found a GREAT Persian restaurant in Sunrise florida called Kababi Cafe, the meats were juicccyyyy and flavourful, rice fluffy! It for sure hit the spot :) if your in the area go check it out!!

I like Persian food too and I also love, what I believe that yogurt what you are talking about "moust-k-hair".. There are 2 yogurts) with cucumber, mint; 2) with shallots.

I've never seen a cafe that posh before! Like Jessica I did once have a go at making that eggplant dish at home and I made a right hash of it. It really is a lot more difficult to cook than it looks.

It's not yogurt on the eggplant. It's called Kashk . A different dairy product

It seems that you don't know how to eat it... In Iran, if you are very hungry, you eat it even with bread. But no one puts his kebab in yogurt and cucumber. It's like breaking spaghetti in front of an Italian. Chelo Kebab is eaten with a spoon and fork, but there is no problem if someone eats it with their hands, but it is not common in restaurants. Shirazi salad or yogurt and cucumber is not a sauce. It is only an aid for the digestion of the food that is eaten next to it. In general, Iranian dishes do not need sauce.

that's nice you like persian food but please use a spoon or at least a knife in your other hand in order to push the food/rice into you fork/spoon, instead of using your fingers! in iran it will be counted so impolite using your fingers! I just thought when you are so amazed by the food which is a window to show the culture, better to know a bit of the culture itself! hope you find it helpful
