Yes this is so true!!! About a month ago I got an grease stain on my shirt and I just thought that's the end of that shirt so I threw it down cellar to be washed later thinking it's not going to come out anyway. A few days later I was getting something out from under the kitchen sink and I seen the Dawn Dish Detergent and thought about the Dawn Commercial with the baby duck that was covered with oil I said to myself what the heck it's not going to hurt to try I said to myself yeah right good luck on that 😄😄😄 but it actually took the stain out!!! I was total shocked this is my new best friend 😀 !!! I used to use Oxy Clean but it didn't always get the stains out so I don't even try to use it anymore I go straight to the Dawn and I have used it on other old stains and so far it's taken the stains out!

I now use 1/4 cup baking soda in my HE washer with almost every load and I use white vinegar for the rinse. My towels are SO soft. I have used vinegar for the rinse cycle for years, but it seems that the baking soda really softens them. Also, I use scent free detergent, and wool dryer balls. Love my clean and fresh laundry.

Thanks for this! I use Goo Gone, but was never sure if it was safe to use on clothing. Since you got a dog fairly recently, I thought I’d share this. I have Norwex dryer balls & used them for a year or so. After a while, I noticed that dog hair (we had 2 large black dogs) was sticking to certain clothes. I had to turn my husband’s dress shirts inside out & use multiple lint roller sheets on the inside AND the outside to get all the dog hair off! I never really bought into the “toxicity” of dryer sheets. I used the dryer balls to save money & waste. I figured if I’m using half a lint roller (no exaggeration!) every time I wash my hubby’s shirts, I’m not saving money or waste. So, I’m back to using dryer sheets. They release any dog hair the washer doesn’t get out, so it goes into the lint trap.
