It does look like a very nice machine with great value though. You got my attention. I would also just lie to play with it and see how it works.

@Turbocharge1000 The AC unit varies the hz (Yep, incoming hz to the AC unit is 60 hz) to the motor which then varies the RPM's. However, you can set the read out to read in Hz, RPM's, and a host of other variables.

Well, after testing the heck out of this thing, we like it! We REALLY like it! We did quite a few tests on it & found it to work extremely well on filtering nasty oil. So.....we've decided to add it to our website. It passed our tests with flying colors. We did a monstrous write-up on it on our new centrifuge page (see video description for the link). is this all you need or do sock filters help out?? what about seperating glycerin?? what is the ratio of glycerin to grease??? please do tell more
@graydonblair15 жыл бұрын
It can filter oil effectively clear down to 1 micron. The flow rate is what determines how small it'll filter down to. The slower the flow, the finer the filtration.

Where do you buy a centerfuse unit at to clean the old motor oil
@graydonblair13 жыл бұрын
@graydonblair Typical GPH is 10-15 GPH. If you heat the oil it can go up to about 25 GPH.

It depends on what you're using the oil for. If it's going to be used straight in a vehicle, some people will filter it additionally through a sock filter. However, if you're making Biodiesel, this is fully sufficient to filter the oil. Centrifuges can't separate glycerin from grease. That's done chemically by making Biodiesel. Visit my site (link in description) to learn more about how that works.

How much does this cost? Im sure your website has the price. All your stuff is very expensive. I know its high quality and high cost materials, but its kind of discouraging.

Great videos, but I have to side with @mycoptah - it's cen-TRI-fuge, not cen-TER-fuge. I can't believe you get your hands that close to a wheel spinning @ 6000rpm.

We don't have it listed. We're just testing it right now. But you can see pricing at wvodesigns[dot]com I'm pretty impressed with it so far.

how can you get 6000rpm with 120V @ 60hz ?
@Turbocharge100014 жыл бұрын
thats actually the Electric hz reading... its 60 hz and the motor spins at 3450 rpm!! :)

You have to heat it 60? No

Centrifuges DO NOT filter. They seperate. If it did filter you would be able to say to what micron size, which you can't with any centrifuge. it is easy to overload them, causing bypass contamination of the cleaned fluid. As soon as your bowl fills with solids separation ceases. Constant stopping of the centrifuge is required to dump those solids in this design. if the oil was really dirty you may have to shut it down every few minutes. This would be very inefficient. industrial centrifuges have an auger cleaning the solids build up out constantly so can run continuously but the quality of their out put is effected by the quality and quantity of the product being centrifuged. The output is never consistent unless fed exactly the same product.

It's because the AC drive converts 120 v AC to 230 V AC and varies the voltage and frequency going to the motor. This is what allows the motor to spin up to 6,000 RPM
@utahbiodieselsupply12 жыл бұрын
You have to heat it hot enough that the oil will flow. If it's too cold it won't flow through the plumbing and into the centrifuge to get filtered.

Bowl is 8" diameter by 2" deep. The bowl is made of cast aluminum. The Motor is 1/3 HP
