Where your rod rack rubs against your boat cover put some pieces of pool noodle or some type of padding if not it will wear a hole in your brand new cover

Hey Hayden what size weight do you generally use for bumping
@bankfishingislife5484 Жыл бұрын
sick what # thrust and shaft is on your trolling motor? i have a similar boat. nice ones and video bro. this bump fishing is sick its like bass fishing for catfish.. my friend and i do this at the dams around us.
@budm9982 Жыл бұрын
I've been fishing for catfish all my life and would still be real pleased with a 20# blue like that. We fish the Mississippi just North of St Louis at L&D 25. Haven't tried bumpin' before but will soon, seeing how good it worked for you. I don't have a fancy trolling motor like you, just a bow mount with tiller control. Still, I think it will work. Question; Will it work to anchor in the flow from the dam and just bump the weight off the bottom, letting a couple of feet of line out with each bump, working it downstream? Once it gets a couple hundred feet behind the boat, reel it in and try again? Not the same technique as you but what do you think? Ever tried that?
@hagengrubbsfishing Жыл бұрын
Yes it works great from an anchored boat as well. If I’m fishing a specific spot like a drop or a hole I prefer to do it that way. It might take a little more weight but you can work the bait slower and sometimes it’s the best way to do it. Thanks for watching and good luck out there.

What was the water temp at the falls? I haven't made it down to the ohio river yet this year. The small river i fish in Indiana was 68° last weekend. I think the big ones are starting to stange up in holes for nesting.
