Nice coming in 2nd on the OHIO!! You did GREAT as i have been cutting and taking Gill Nets for the last three years out of the Ohio, Green river, etc. They are selling the big cats to pay lakes and ruining our waters, NO LICENSE or tags on the nets or jugs they come home with me.

My Grandfather used cheesecloth or nylon to wrap those baits that come off the hook easy. A trick I use to this day.

Your 3rd fish was caught in the location that a local caught a 104lb blue cat back in the late 90’s. Caught by Bruce Midkiff of Owensboro. Hell of a guy and a great angler. RIP Bruce

I want to catfish one time on a boat. Everytime I have got on a boat we where tubing or knee boarding. I'm good on that stuff knee boarded once tore both ligaments in my knees was fun as all get out though.

I wish I could consistently catch skipjack for bait. I fish from the bank, so unless they’re schooling right in front of me, I’m out of luck. I have to rely on dip bait or hope I can catch a bluegill or something.

Justin, I may buy materials and build the same dragging sinkers you make. As for the screw eyes and twist on wire connectors, does in matter what size or brand I get for those items just in case I cannot find the identical ones you use in your book?

Brand doesn’t matter but the size will be important. You want the wire connectors to fit snug inside the tubing.

If I’m fishing 10 feet or less, I usually use a ballon rig. Otherwise I typically drag or suspend baits when trolling.
