My son spent 1 semester in college after HS. He told me he didnt want to sit in an office all day. I told him to go get a job that has you outside. He used his skills of mowing lawns when he applied for a job with the city to mow, etc for the city parks, roadways, etc. He worked his way up by taking classes as needed to qualify for other jobs with the city. He now, having worked for the city for almost 40 yrs has provided for his family, has been promoted to a supervisory job and has an excellent retirement!! ALL BECAUSE he had those skills he learned while in school!!! Your city loses when kids dont stay in the city. Smaller towns need to take advantage of people like YOU!!!

A man named Nick was talking about a test run. They had kids exercise before studying, burning off surplus energy, and that helped their ability to sit to study and do well. Those who did exercise after school, less of an improvement. Really like your idea of kids learning skills that they can then turn into viable jobs and income. There is great morale in being able to take a run-down area and make it look sharp and raising the look of the surrounding area. People that need to be active, need to be outdoors, will do a lot better on outdoor jobs. Also a great relief for PTSD, as for ex-military.

Having a hands-on dirty job will always earn you money. Use your hands and brains to promote yourself. It's not a career it's a job to keep yourself to be productive with self-respect. 😊😊😊

Honestly wasn’t that bad. I’ve taught in some schools where the only mowed and that’s it.
