Nice flying moonbeam! That cloud surfing segment at the end while dodging the storms was awesome!

I love the variety of the videos from the caravan to the citation, the jet within seconds is into the clouds but it's nice to see some of the countryside in the caravan as you climb.

Thanks for the video, those thunderstorm clouds were huge, but glad you get passed by them safely. Greetings from Finland :)

Thanks. thee were two separate holes that I was shooting for. Had to turn away from both and go through further west.

You weren't kidding the weather did make quite a change compared to earlier in the day. Those clouds looked pretty nasty as you were landing for sure!

Hey Jim, Just as well as you had a holiday! Geeze what an 'interesting' weather day mate. I though my day was intense being at Farmers Market in the morning and then producing our Pure Olive Paste all afternoon but i think you win hands down. Brown side down Blue side up mate :-)

As a young teen I loved assembling model aircraft kits by Monogram and Revell. I built both the F-84 and the F-86. I got to see both models fly at airshows over the years. I never did see a F-100 perform; but I did assemble one.

Those reflections ( UFOs ) can be distracting. When the Tower said calm winds, I might've asked for 8L but it worked out nicely. Fun flight !

I learned to fly at the now-closed Lake Winnebago Airport just southeast of Kansas City, MO, while stationed at Richards-Gebaur AFB in the early seventies. While planning my landing at the Versailles, MO, airport, I made the mistake of announcing my pending arrival to “VerSIGH” UNICOM. After the laughter died down on the radio, I was informed that the proper pronunciation was “VerSAILS.” Yes, lots of laughs and a lesson learned. 😂

Dodging t-storms in a Caravan? I guess Cessna must have upgraded the breed; I flew night freight in the last “A”model built back in the day, and as I remember it, the airplane was certified with deicers on the TRAILING edges of the flying surfaces for use when we were trying to outrun a slow moving cold front.😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

A very exciting flight with great scenery flying around the cumulonimbus clouds. Not surprised by the presence of mammatus clouds @7:56 after hearing the weather report of severe thunderstorms with possible tornadoes. Was this a super cell or a strong cold front/squall line producing those storms?

Jim, I was reading in my Robb Report about Surfair, Inc. It will soon take delivery of 20 new Grand Caravans. After which 80 more for a total of 100 for conversion to electric power. I had no idea that this was close to happening! Have you had any experience with hybrid electric or fully electric planes?
