What stunning light! It must have been truly wonderful seeing Nordkapp in winter. Great video. I look forward to the next one.

Thank you Rob. We were very lucky both driving up and down, as you said the light was absolutely stunning. The drive back down was up there as one of the best drives we've had.

I love the video! I am considering driving there with my camper this winter and the film is very authentic in the challenges and beauty of the region

Love the videos we have a new T6.1 and are taking lots from these videos One question I would love to know how many miles your T5 has done Thanks Mark
@spirit5_of_adventure10 ай бұрын
Hi Mark, Thanks for watching it's very much appreciated and glad there is some information that's useful. We have done over 137000 miles in Spirit without (until now) any problems and we've loved (almost) all of them. Hope you enjoy your T6.1 (slightly jealous) and put as many miles on as we have 👍

Great video guys as usual . Was interesting to hear about Andy’s winter driving knowledge and experience and then to see Kathy driving 👏. A question, would you consider driving a 2 wheel drive spirit in those conditions with careful consideration about tire selection ( not necessarily studded ) but snow & ice rated tires ? I have 2 wheel drive lwb 204 dsg and presume tire selection is more important than anything else but would appreciate your thoughts ??
@spirit5_of_adventure11 ай бұрын
Hi Eric. There would be absolutely no problem driving a 2WD "Spirit" up there in those conditions. Winter tyres are not just a must but they are the law. They must be a minimum of 3 peak snow flake rating. If you need a set I have a set of Agilis Alpine on VW steelies which were used for 2 months before we tried out the BFG's. Our last set of them lasted 8 winters and I only changed them to ensure they were perfect for the Arctic and then 2020 happened so we didnt get there. But back to your question. Yes tyres are the most important consideration as well as a well serviced heater. I hope that answers everything 👍

@@spirit5_of_adventure Thanks v much for your reply. It’s reassuring to hear you wouldn’t be put off by 2WD. Thanks also for the offer of wheels/tires - I actually have a set of Nokian winter tires on order . Yes diesel heater is all good and serviced too . Looking forward to your next episode and in the meantime, good luck getting Spirit sorted quickly. We’ve had the EGR valve done on ours and it kind of seems like it’s become a serviceable part on these sadly .

@@ericbarker2490 No worries at all and thank you. Spirit has quite a lot to sort due to VW not picking up on things we have been asking them about for quite some time. Good luck with your plans. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out 👍🏻🚐💨
