Beautiful looking place to fish. Love the shoreling. There's very few spots where Redwoods grow in water on the Westcoast and they're so majestic and always hold big timber bass.

Hey Karl, I'm really curious as to some of the gear you are using. We all know St. Croix rods but how about your hooks and terminal tackle? What sizes and brands do you prefer to use for pitching plastics and which plastic gets which size hook? You know basic terminal tackle stuff, thanks in advance!

Thanks for asking- we are currently shooting a 'boat load' of useful tips and tactics segments for this channel on the basics of fishing for bigger fish; as for presentations such as this one, I prefer the OWNER HOOKS 4/0 wide gap hook for Rage plastics, STRIKE KING tour grade tungsten weights for all plastics applications, mostly 5/16- 1/2 oz size depending on water depths and cover; GAMMA 20 lb EDGE Fluorocarbon line is a mainstay on my casting reels when I am flipping or pitching for largemouth; stay tuned for more tips on this channel in the very near future

How do you go about deciding which particular lake you'd like to fish on any given day? Seems like you have so much access to a lot of great places to fish.
@ExtremeAnglerTV6 жыл бұрын
Have a variety of public lakes we fish. I change it up so its not the same over and again. I look for similar structure that I like to fish , find it, fish it and hopefully they bite.

Thanks for the support, who really cares about neg people anyway? Haters are gonna hate no matter what you do, I actually feel sorry for them.

No need to go bigger than a 7ft rod
@ExtremeAnglerTV3 жыл бұрын
choices are for each individual, I hardly ever use a 7 footer, 7'4" or 7'5" are my 'go-to' for soft plastics.
