How did you determine it was the cold side cartridge that needed replacing vs. the hot?

It was the side that was causing a continual drip. There are shut offs under the sink - one for each line. When supply water was turned off, the dripping stopped - that was the problem. Bad cartridges usually drip. Thx for watching!
