Most underrated study guru. You are good and really know your stuff. Most of the study guru's advocate raw activities like flashcards, spatial repetition and clean notes. But your methods are more practical and really works. Thank u.

Yes, and many of the methods, (I watched) I have been doing it accidentally but didn't know I was doing it before. I was always confused, why I can't do properly with some subjects but now I know and I do understand. Through Largely reliable methods which involves less of notes and more of my cognitive ability.

Even hearing you questions/talk about the studies in depth (Dabbs 1988, 1995 and 1996) helped me remember them 10 minutes later. I'm excited to apply it but worried about not having enough questions or generate enough interest in my brain. I'm sooo use to just reading and then haphazardly applying the information or abandoning it afterwards. I'm not sure how long it'll take me to question things this same way.

I find I understand/learn better if I'm shown how something is done and do it myself vs. being told how to do it and having to figure it out (still works, just not as effective for me). Thank you for your time and effort, it is truly appreciated🌈🙂

When you find out the important word in a sentence, it means that you find a word that if this word is removed, the sentence will just completely change it meaning or simply just doesn’t make sense. When you find it, you quickly evaluate the meaning of it in the sentence then conclude the characteristic and feature of that sentence and conclude them by your intuitive word that represent the meaning of the sentence that it is “intuitive!” for you that is called chunking. That what Justin sung does
@aasthasingh77653 жыл бұрын
What if I have tooo many questions about a particular topic? Should I skip those questions? Genuinely because I get this feeling of Dissatisfaction until I know the answers to all the questions in my brain. But answering all those questions sometimes is pointless and time consuming. The other way is to avoid all the question that's when learning becomes monotonous and passive.
@hansomekim12192 жыл бұрын
Maybe try to interpret them as a whimsical question that you'd be happy to know but won't really change anything serious
@jpg7616 Жыл бұрын
Use the higher order of “what is most important of these questions?” And try to hit the top 3-5. Do combo questions: what’s the diff between X and Y? Which may answer multiple questions at once, etc
@muizzsiddique11 ай бұрын
I noticed you don't label your relationships. The only visual distinguishable feature is straight arrow vs. squiggly arrow, despite there being at least 5 different types of relationships. Is there a particular reason why you avoid this?
@terminallucidity8 ай бұрын
The way in which you express the arrows is inherently memorable for yourself as you need to consider things like size, length, thickness, and any other features. Labelling it is kinda lower order and doesnt promote enough processing and evaluative thinking and can make things messy

Imagine it's difficult when you are trying to describe techniques but first time I've seen you use mind maps in the way I learnt to use them in general I would code the colours of the branches so I could see for instance pathology ( black) or psychological ( purple) physiology ( red ) clinical( blue) treatment ( pink) influence at a glance on my mind maps and use icon like pictures or symbols e.g. Psy for psychology as much as possible I wondered if you had a similar key like schema . As suggested by Tony buzan ( suther of use your mind and the mind map book) I Writing a base map then adding in branches from relevant other branches . for each source. Rewriting it with ref to other info to plan research for an essay or consolidate learning it this something you do when studying
