Better than I ever could do great job. I must ask a question why the rust remover and sandblasting? Don't worry I'm no restorer like you all I don't have those skills.

You could always weld it like I’ve seen on other channels then grind the blade so the welding gets rid of the pits

Feels more like a cleanup than a restoration but het nice job anyway although personally i would have customized the blade and handle and added a guard and pommel to make it look like a medieval knife

It's perfectly done knife:-) Pitting I know can make some knives unappealing. But if cleaned up just right with a fine cutting edge and beautiful handle to complement it, you could easily draw quite a crowd of knife collectors or curious onlookers. Job well done:-)

It was my understanding that cold bluing isn't generally considered food safe. Am I off base here?

I know cold blue is pretty toxic, but I find conflicting reports on if enough of it comes off to make it food safe.

I guess if you use this to cut brush it wack stuff ina jungle it was worth saving. I would have recycled the metal instead. Some are just not worth saving.

It's an early-mid 20th century butcher's bullnose breaking knife. It was designed for breaking down large animal carcasses; not tomatoes or jungle stuff.

@@ericfg806 if you plan on using it around food then those holes are going to be holding little pieces of food. Not very sanitary.

Personally, it was a bit too far gone for my liking to put time and effort into restoring it. With all the pits still all over the blade and under the handle, it doesn't look "restored" in the traditional sense. But kudos for the good effort though. Well done!
