I didn't know where to look next. I couldn't believe all the beautiful hand powered tools, all in beautiful condition. It was a joy to see them. And the workshop too. So, tidy, organized and lovely. I lived for a time on the land in Ohio, with no electricity. We built a house using hand tools, and with the guidance of several elders who still knew what tools we'd need and how to properly use them. Between helping my dad with sanding when he was woodworking, as a little girl, and my experience living with no running water and no electricity, I came to love old tools, many of which are beautifully sculptural. So, it was a pleasure to watch this video. And to find your channel. Thank you for preserving the old skills and tools.

Very nicely done. Seeing the cutting mat, you’re using to work on reminds me of something in my past. When I went to work in the mid-70s I designed forms. Bedore computer programs I would draw the lines with pen and ink and type the text separately. Using a Xerox photocopy machine I would reduce or enlarge the text as needed and then with a T-square cut and paste the text to the document.
