This is my favorite fishing channel because you fish in small creeks and aren't always traveling to all these states and fishing in giant ponds, it's a more relatable fishing channel
@melvinlee56846 жыл бұрын
I've been fishing since I was a little kid. This reminds me of my favorite childhood creek; the difference is that when I was a kid, the creek would have been crowded with other kids fishing and playing. Kids today are too lazy and busy with video games to do this. This is sad. They are missing out on a lot of fun. Your videos always bring out a bit of nostalgia in me. Thanks.

That trout's coloration was beautiful. I also appreciate the care you took with it not squeezing it too hard or ripping the hook out! Saving fish for others to catch is the best quality in a fisherman! Good fishing, keep it up!

I bought one of these rods after I watched you use it and explaining a bit about it. I like it so far, its my new travel finesse setup. A good thing to try in small creeks are mepps spinner. It's an inlined spinner. You can get them at Walmart. Get the gold colored blade. They work great
@extremephillyfishing8 жыл бұрын
I am familiar with the Mepps Spinner, Cole Wright. The _Mepps Aglia 2_ is one of my top three choices for inline spinners for Creeks. The other two are the Johnson _Min-O-Spin_ and the Thomas Lures _E.P. series_ in-line spinner. :) I think I have a few videos on the Channel where I use all three of them to catch some stocked Trout! :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!

Hey Leo if you ever go Tennessee , I just got back from there from vacation and slated the small mouth on the little pigeon ,also killed the rock bass, what we used were 2" strike king tube baits in green pumpkin and white .they also stock trout there on Thursdays . You can not use treble hooks though but they make certain spinners and stuff with one hook

I brought the 2.7m ones , but I think it can not as agile as 2 pice's lure rod(but I used 2.1-2.4m before) . It's quite heavy after extend , the balance actually different. Indeed it does not good for casting , i think it sould inccrease the weight of shaft .

I bought something similar to that on Amazon, made by Pisfun (made in China). Your rod looks exactly like it. I returned it because it was crap, and that metal piece with all those holes around the top of the upper grip came loose. Also, there were so many holes in the reel seat and handle that getting water or gunk out of it would have been a nightmare.
@extremephillyfishing8 жыл бұрын
Well, that is saddening to hear. Hahaha. It sounds to me that the rod by this Pisfun company was indeed very bad! Well...I can't vouch for them, of course, since I have never used their products. But anyways...if you plan on getting a travelling rod, you should try the KastKing one. I can vouch for its price and quality -- a beautiful rod indeed, L.I. Archer. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
@l.i.archer53798 жыл бұрын
I have an 8-ft telescopic rod made in Korea that I bought back in 1999. It is Medium Power, Medium Action with ceramic Fuji guides. I used that for fluke (summer flounder), and porgies a lot, but I haven't touched it since I picked up some 7-ft, 2-pc Tsunami rods. The other two freshwater rods I have are Ultralights in the 5-ft range. I use something beefier for walleye or catfish. These days, I'll go with Tsunami 2-pc rods that stow neatly in the trunk of my car. Most of my gear is for saltwater. As my name implies, I live on Long Island. I'm about to head out to do some surfcasting with my 10-ft Tsunami Air Wave in Xtra Heavy power for some stripers, and maybe bounce some jigs on my 7-footer for fluke. Tight lines!!

@sommervr7 жыл бұрын
the rod is great the reel seat is an uncomfortable mess. The rod itself is a nice Medium heavy action similar to an Ugly Stik. It is a usable rod definately not a toy. The reel seat needs a redesign. The balance needs to be about 3 inches forward. The metal reel seat chews up metal reel stem ends and makes a poor sloppy fit. They have this hard metal ball spinning thing right under your forefinger (?!) for some unknown reason. All this rod needs is an inexpensive plastic eva foam reel seat with a foregrip and it would be perfect. See every cheap spinning rod at Walmart for an example. Throw some cork on it if you want to upsell. Now I got to do surgery on this rod to see if I can fix it.
@novaday88138 жыл бұрын
