Another great video. I'm still power fishing because the weeds aren't bad yet. But I want to work on my finesse fishing t-rig/jika/free rig skills this year.
@rawrfishing2 жыл бұрын
Free rig is a fun way to get em! But yeah some times we gotta ditch the finesse and just go heavier when the weeds come. Perhaps it's time to versatile finesse ;) been eyeing on that Aldebaran MGL 30

Fun session Jimmy. I was looking at the specs of the two versions of the Jackson Blast and was a bit surprised that the ML is 22 grams lighter than the L version. Guessing that the 36T Carbon has lower density than the 24T Carbon.
@rawrfishing2 жыл бұрын
Hey hey, so the Makimono Special is a full solid blank while the So-called finesse have a solid tip into a hollow blank. that would certainly make the L more lighter than the ML. Both are super light and i have been pleased with the two :) just need to take the maki out more with some treble hook lures! can't wait!
@baitfinesseempire2 жыл бұрын
Bingo, Jimmy nailed it. The shorter, lighter power, Makimono Special is a tad heavier in weight than the ML So-called Finesse due to the blank being solid carbon from butt to tip. The Makimono Special really is something special though, it's hands down the best bfs cranking rod we've played around with. The blank has the perfect blend of give and power to effectively work the lure and pin BIG bass. Think of it like a resistance band you'd use for a rigorous work-out, easy to pull until it starts pulling back 😂

The Inu Rig is not really a new rig. just for some odd reason gone viral recently lol. The rig isn't that great from what I have heard. I tried it a few times and it's probably works best with some stiffer plastics, which i typically like to use softer plastics lol. i tried with the flock of plastics i have at home and they never seem to spring back out well even with the tubing or even straws installed in the correct location. I have tried a few times and actually gave up on it. if you ever look up any folks who have made a video of it and skim through the comments, many folks who have tried it doesn't really like it.

Sup Jimmy. Great video. It's funny, I cought 1 catfish on a jig, and 1 catfish on a plastic in my whole life lol. And you did both in 1 day😂. Taking it easy going fishing Tuesday. Keep the great content coming, we do appreciate all the work it takes 👍. Ty tc

@@rawrfishing you are right. I'm reminded by doctors how I got here. Fell may,12, 1999 and needed surgery, but I went right to home depot from hospital.. Did that for first 12 operations, then needed thoracic spine surgery and lost a rib and half(which they wouldn't let me keep lol) . things went down hill fast after that. But when fell I was 27 with big family and thought invincible. Working on roof, rebuilding houses, mixing concrete ECT. Day I left hospital everytime. Was stupid but good intentions. Now this 28th operation the only thing left is total spine reconstruction, all of it. Then no more anything. That's why said no fishing today. Not risking it. If gets too bad won't have a choice. Enjoy time with your family as I say, goes fast. Keep that in mind God forbid you ever get hurt. They would rather have you there and not doing things shouldn't👍. Ty brother

What weight lures do you normally fish for power BFS? I assume things around 3 grams to 6 or so.
@rawrfishing Жыл бұрын
Power BFS is a unique term. some use it to just describe the upper side of where BFS Bass folks would fish, which are ML rods. most folks stay within the range of whatever the rod specs says. POWER BFS to some, means power fishing using bfs tackle. I am not the latter for sure, but I am a mix of the first as well as using unconventionally thicker line than normal throwing lures anywhere from 3.5g and up into semi thick cover. That's my power bfs style. Heck i even throw smedium size line with thick line as leader material. it's not uncommon to see me use 20lb mono leader to fish for pickerels, but have a thinner mainline. I also do braid to braid for snakeheads since they don't have arrow shape teeth. I have thrown around 10g lures on BFS setup. Anymore, I would likely use a next size reel up. Like a long cast reel for more line capacity. Speaking of long cast.. i got a new spool that just landed :)
