Isn't overtaking means you were behind someone, and you need to switch lane in order to overtook that person? Like the camera guy did. If there's no one in front and you want to go faster in your lane, than it's just drive past someone, not overtaking. Maybe the Ferrari guy was too fast, but still he's not overtaking anyone. Super cars have some of the most advanced traction control in existence in which to save the he driver / keep the vehicle stable. Sadly alot of owners disable it and do not realize how fast an extremely light / powerful car can lose control. Lesson here is that you should practice in a wide open area / racetrack if you wish to disable advanced TCS.

but most of all, do not disable TCS when you are on a road with other drivers regardless of how well you can handle your car. that shit exists for a reason. if someone hits you or if you swerve bc someone is entering your lane, disabled TCS could result in you skidding and losing control of the vehicle. if you want to drive like a race car driver, go to a race track or drag strip, not the closest street.

As a person who has a moderate amount of time behind the wheel from the most basic street econobox to the very occasional exotic I see two things in these videos of these high-end cars and their drivers. First, 500+ horsepower is a goodly amount of force under your foot, you don't just mash it like a video game. It is ALWAYS a _percentage_ from 1% to 100% throttle from a standing start. Smoothness is the key. The second group seems unaware of the corners and edges. The seating position on these type of cars usually has some significant blind spots, you don't guess where the side is or the mirror or the side sill is, you have to observe and think ahead. Sadly, too many of the operators seem well versed in the privileges of having the money for these cars, and not the responsibilities.
