Eliminate Throttle Lag. A Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller will completely eliminate the throttle lag that is programmed into the factory 2007-2017 JK Wrangler drive-by-wire throttle system. Connecting directly to the throttle position sensor found by the gas pedal, the Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller intercepts the throttle signal and modifies it accordingly such that throttle sensitivity and response is instantly increased for a much sportier driving experience. While it does not add any additional power or torque, the Pedal Commander does take the power and torque that is there and makes it instantly available the moment you touch the pedal.
Four Control Modes. The Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller offers 4 different driving modes that are each further divisible into 8 additional sensitivity settings. The modes available are Eco, City, Sport and Sport Plus, with each mode getting progressively more sensitive than the previous. Eco mode is the least sensitive and can actually be quite handy in tricky off-road situations where a big application of power may make the situation worse. Sport Plus is at the complete opposite end of the spectrum, as it provides race-like super sensitivity and response.
Plug & Play Installation. The Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller connects directly into the stock throttle position sensor found on the drive-by-wire gas pedal using an OEM style plug and play connector with no permanent modifications required. This controller does however need to be plugged in at all times for it to function. It is not like a tuner or calibration tool where you plug it in once, transfer the programming and are then able to remove it.

Holy crap. Just installed this on my 2013 Rubicon. Noticed a difference between stock and city+4. Then I switched it to sport+4 and with the auto and my 4.88 gearing it about put me in the back seat of my 2 door when pushed down on the pedal like I normally do. Very impressive. Another great mod on the books.

I was interested in the PC after I viewed this video. So, I ordered one, and I received the unit today on 6/12/17. To begin with, it only took me less than 10 minutes to install. I took my SUV out on the road to test the PC in the City, Sport, and Sport+ modes. I must say that I was blown away in the Sports mode. I'm aware that there aren't any extra hp's that are added, but it certainly feels absolutely faster. 0-60 is impressive. Lot's of fun! Cheers!!!

Just received mine today from Extreme Terrain. All i can say is this should be the first mod to any JK. I have a 2016 wrangler with 2.5 inch lift with 285/70/17s. Not bad at all the way it drives but holy cow what drastic difference with this unit. After playing with all day I found City + 4 and Sport +1 works best for me. No more lagging feeling when you take off. It just goes. Love it

I just installed this thing about an hour ago on my 2012 Supercharged manual JK, which still has 3.73 gears and 35s. On sport+, its waaaayyyy twitchy for a manual and you'll almost be at red line in 1st gear before you can get into second. Add that on top of my supercharger, and I'm spinning tires at every stop light. Inthink this thing would really shine in automatic JKs and turned up to the max.

Installed on 2017 jk , worked great but uninstalled after about 2000 miles . Check engine and electrical icons lite up on instrument panel and acceleration got very sluggish. It also would try and accelerate while driving up hill and foot off pedal. Removed and reset fault lights. It went back to normal operation. Left off and contacted Pedal Commander people . They said it was a simple update of program needed and sent link. Will have to reinstall, pain the butt to for anyone with a bad back. Will update after update installed.

I tried it on a Toyota FJ Cruiser, and I must say it is a good product. My only comment is that the pedal commander is only good for on road use, when off road it really messes with traction and you get a lot of slipping and you lose the ability to control torque. Also, if you have larger tires and you have a speedometer regulator it will not work

Do not change pedal commander mode when driving, you going to have a check engine light on and no accelaration in your gas pedal. That happen to me, but I fixed just clear the code.

isnt there a way already to change the gas pedal travel? turn your key forward twice, wait for bells, go up adn down 2 times real slow with gas pedal for reset...atleast that is what Jeep dealer showed me and it worked great.

Hi. I just bought a 2016 Jeep Sahara, automatic transmission. Which setting on here would most simulate a throttle cable 1:1 response? I love my Jeep, but do not love the throttle response lag - or the way the transmission behaves downshifting due to this throttle response. Could you also tell me how the Pedal Commander differs from the Sprint Booster (other than having more settings, and needing controller to remain intact) ? I actually don't like having too many options/settings, and am only looking for throttle cable-like response, and then keeping it there. Also, is it just that this product amps up the signal sent to the throttle, or is there truly some vehicle-specific electronic "formula" in these things? Thanks, Brian

Hi, can this device reduce the time taken to travel from 0-60 ? im drving a Honda City 2008 and it takes 13 sec from 0-60, so if i installed this, and activate the sport+ mode, can the time reduce at least to 11 sec?

Samuel Prieto you switched the modes while driving. You have to pull over to switch modes. If you switch modes while driving, your check engine light will come on, all you need to do to get rid of it is clear it. I believe auto zone will clear it for free.

I just bought a 2017 jk with a manual. I have around 1500 miles on it currently. I have had a hard time getting used to the throttle. Even small pressure on the pedal results in 1500+ rpm. Would this assist in dumbing down the throttle? Thanks!

Ryan Pike My manual JK always seemed like it had a split personality. Some days it was real easy to almost stall it. Other days you could let out the clutch as fast as you want and it didn't care.

more or less sprint booster. Remember, we are fly by wire pedal so its all electronic controlled. and since its controlled it can be manipulated and changed. BUt please rather than drop 300 bucks, talk to the dealer or look up the throttle reset for jeep pedals. I get it, we can sell this for 300 bucks, but why not reset first? Throttle calibration can substantially improve throttle responsiveness over "factory standard." Many people notice what appears to be sluggish throttle response or a "dead area" at initial accelerator depression. Throttle calibration can take care of these. 1) Insert ignition key and turn to "ON" (not start). 2) Wait for all idiot lights to go out. Check Engine Light may remain on. 3) Slowly depress the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor. 4) Slowly release the accelerator pedal until it's all the way back up. 5) Turn the ignition key to "OFF". 6) Start the engine. Most drivers notice an immediate change in throttle response, but depending on your driving style, you may need to repeat this procedure periodically due to the computer's adaptive programming. You likely need to repeat this procedure any time the battery is disconnected.

this "reset" does nothing. this is truly placebo, and has no referenced source. and Jeep mechanics at the top say it is absurd. you would need either a product like this, or go into computer/electrical to adjust throttle response

I have the Sprint Booster V3 and it works great . If you don't have it try it. It's smaller, 36 levels, pedal lock mode and valet mode.
