Courtney LaPlante is clearly a boss in life and in her music.

Man the stuff thats come out in the last few months has been absolutely killer! Also, to make a fun joke out of it, she seems quite planted (grounded and well headed overall). 😀

41:43: "almost half of the people coming in now are woman that are interested in starting their metal careers". DAMN! that's so amazing to see the amount of female interest in learning heavy vocals in metal. much respect to them, and the talent and mindset of Courtney :)

Let me first start off by saying, i love this channel! Your work is amazing. Courtney is my all time favorite vocalist in the genre of “metal”. Above any man or female. A true inspiration. I can agree that people judge metal vocalist. I work in the electrical field surrounded by engineers and mechanics etc... when they found out I am the frontman of a hardcore out fit called Texas Cut Throat, they couldn’t believe it. Then they heard the music and all my power plant credibility went out the window lol. People just don’t understand nor try to understand what and why we do what we do. Because we love it. United we are !!

Thank you so much! We're so glad you enjoy the channel 🤘 Courtney touches on a lot of very relatable things in this conversation and judgment about being in a metal band is definitely something that many vocalists have come across. That's part of what we're working to change here by bringing education about metal vocals as an art form to the masses so we can blur those lines a little bit! Have a good one! 😊

Completely new here, cause of Courtney tbh, but wow! An Interview in which I am a big fan of one of the 2 and still you both managed to be equally interesting! This was more like a Podcast, but then again mostly the comments label this as an interview. Really, really nice talk! Felt like 10 mins at most. Subbed for more!

Congrats on 70k!! And well deserved, I hope your channek continues to grow. You have been the greatest edition to guiding scream vocals since Melissa Cross. You are a master in your teachings. It's been great to watch and follow your journey over the years! Thank you #EVI

Omg I SO relate to when she said when she was new to screaming, she had no idea what was going to come out of her mouth. I just started dabbling in aggressive vocals and SAME.

Cool interview. I just discovered this band a week ago and was immediately impressed and am already a huge fan. Courtney's voice immediately grabs your attention but then you listen to the whole band and realise the immense talent. Thanks for this. Also, Idk if you have been told this so it might just be me but l reckon you look like Taylor Hawkins but with dark hair haha.
