That's all well and good, and on those short 6-8' runs, it might work just fine... but what happens when you do a straight 75-100' run with thermal expansion? How do you deal with that without everything either buckling or tearing itself apart?

@@POLOLOUS3 Siding only has to deflect and lead water, not be water tight. And in 100' straight runs with no expansion joints or failures to fasteners? I need to see that to believe it. That's a whole lot of movement.

@@martinpoulsen6564 to clarify, we don't exceed 60' runs without an expansion joint, and if the gutter is black and south facing the joints would be at 30'

Man, I heard $23 a foot and I was like that seems a little high, but ok, this is for higher end homes. Then I heard $75 a foot installed. That's $52 a foot installation cost. 100 feet would cost $5200 for what is likely 4 man hours of work. That should be $35 a foot installed.

not sure if it's the same in the US but in Australia is part of code for there to be a pitch/slant and can't be installed dead straight so water doesn't pool

I can get a 6 inch seamless gutter installed for my new construction at $3.70 a foot and $3.50 a foot for my 5 inch…. This is literally 20-30 times the cost almost

Right. Not all homes need or warrant this product. Would I use this on my Raised Ranch? No. Would I use this on a 1700s Victorian with tons of gingerbread trim? Absolutely.
