May regenerative brakes (uses motors to brake). Pero since regenerative, it won't be able to brake ng extended pag full charge. In that case, footbrake ka.

Bend knees lang to keep your weight low, tapos pag brake shift your weight backwards. Practice rin sa control ng throttle ng board para smooth ang braking. Take it slow at first para masanay.

Hello Ernest, have you learnt anything else about this board this you made the video? I am interested in the 2WD version of this board but what puts me off is that Exway charge extra för everything. Also had an Exway Wave which had bent trucks and an Exway Flex which is after 5 weeks of emailing still does not connect to the remote. Worked fine at first and now get emails saying my mobile phone may be disturbing the connection. You are one of the few that do not make their income from this and just say all boards are fantastic.Cheers

Hi, thanks for watching and thank you for the kind words. Yeah the only real issue I've heard first-hand about (meaning from people I know) was the "motor short" issue which I mentioned in one of the comments here too. In fact, this board was hit by it, and the rider was thrown off. Gladly, he only suffered some scrapes and bruises. The issue was apparently fixed via firmware update though and it doesn't look like it is showing up again. I've heard of similar issues with remote connectivity with the older Exways (namely the Flex) but it also turned out to be a firmware issue. I cannot remember how they fixed it though (if it was through an iOS or Android device). I will always recommend that you pick a board with good local support. Here in the Philippines, Exway has the best support (going near Boosted Boards levels of support) so it is easy to recommend here. I'm not sure which brands is locally distributed where you are or whether or not their distributors are good at supporting the stuff they sell so it will be best to ask around with other owners too.

Atlas 2WD on sale now for $934, would it be a good choice as my first electric board? I do have few years of experience with kicktail skateboard. My area have horrible roads and sidewalks, so I'm more interested in all terrain boards.

Hello Ernest, I have ordered the 2WD Atlas AT version and have a few questions you may be able to answer. I think this version comes with 56T pulleys, do you think one can order 66T and belts for more torque and less speed? Also, you mentioned that the wheels me a bit bigger than 6 inch. I have Evolves 6 inch and I think they are a perfect size for AT, could one put them on the Atlas either just the wheels and tubes on the Exway rim or the whole wheel? Not sure if AT wheels are generic in terms of spokes and rims. Thanks

Hello Ernest, do you think motor overheating will be problem with this board? I do not goo off road, some hills and like to accelerate. Do you think the torque of the 2WD is acceptable? I think 4WD has many draw backs. One thing I do not like about many other boards is they do not sell pulleys for Abec wheels and only have cloud wheels as option for street wheels. Thank you
@ErnestRamos2 жыл бұрын
Hi! While it did get warm for me, it isn't really "overheating". So far, the same board I tested here is still running strong, and its owner rides much much harder than I do.

@@linaandersson5815 it's a pretty good board. Some advice though, start off with brands that have local support for where you are. That way if something goes wrong, it is easier to get stuff fixed. @ErnestRamos3 жыл бұрын
Yup, the best board will be the one with the best support in your country. Over here, Exway has the best support because of its local distributor. His level of support is actually pretty close to what Boosted did back in the day when it came to honoring warranties. And even for boards that are out of warranty, repairs and parts are reasonably priced.
@DjImadiaz3 жыл бұрын
Already had mine for 6 weeks and my board isn't charging to 100% it's only charging to 98 percent and got a reduction on battery life when going my usual route. I have the 4wd version and it's an awesome board but I think it's too soon for it to start giving me issues. I would also get a motor short message when going over bumps like railroad tracks of course I'm not on the board when going over them. I already contacted exway and they said that if it charges to 97to 98% it shouldn't have a problem but I'd it bothers you we can send you a new battery. So I accepted the battery hopefully it was only the battery that was mest up and won't be a reoccurring issue on the atlas.
@ErnestRamos3 жыл бұрын
That doesn't sound good. I hope things get sorted out for you. Thanks for sharing your experience with the board!
@bastion91783 жыл бұрын
Yeah the motor short thing is basically normal lol, it’s probably just a bug in the software and it means basically nothing. They should have fixed or will fix that in the upcoming firmware update
@ErnestRamos3 жыл бұрын
So just for transparency, the motor short issue did appear on this board for its owner. But it also resulted in a motor cut-off which threw him off the board. Luckily it wasn't at very high speeds but he did get scuffed up. What I am guessing based on his story is that there was a spike in amps as he was going uphill and hit a bump making the ESC think there was a short so it cut off power. It can be potentially a software bug as you said Bastion.
@bastion91783 жыл бұрын
@@ErnestRamos Yes that actually was a problem in the preproduction board I think, it’s either esc cut of cuz of the current or remote disconnection. I knew a guy who test board for Exway and he had that happen to him when we were climbing uphill, didn’t tell me what exactly happened tho lol. As far as I know Exway changed the remote disconnection protocol in a recent update and now the board won’t break abruptly when the remote is disconnected, but would rather just cut off power and let the board come to a gradual stop. I can’t wait to test out the update firmware but I don’t have my board with me and the second Atlas I ordered won’t be here in another week or so lol. But yeah as to the motor short thing I’m personally 100% sure that’s just a notification and won’t cut off the power to the board, since I had that happen to me on a daily basis before and the board never broke on me. With that being said, random shit might still happen to electronics in boards and you’ll never know lol, and that’s why I always try to imaging the worst senecio and try to test things out and see what’ll happen, and wear helmet if I’m doing a lot of riding.

im very intrested of the atlas 2 wd carbon. but it still seems like the community is not fully sold on the board. im mostly after the double kingpin solution that make it having a nice carving possibility and the stability when it goes a little faster. but the reviews dont fully sell it and the competition is close and some even passing. still interested thoe. hard choice
@ErnestRamos3 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching! There are definitely a lot of boards that are equivalent to its performance at similar and lower price points. One thing you should factor I think is the type of support the brand has in your country. Over here Exway has excellent support (since it has a local distributor) so it is worth paying the extra price for them. As an alternative for this you'd probably want to look at Backfire, Ownboard, Propel and Eovan as well.
@Plymchen9523 жыл бұрын
@@ErnestRamos okey yeah. living in sweden, just got the impression that this board with double kingpin was magic with good carving and nice stability at higher speed. but its very true that the support is important. thank you for the wise pointers.

Hello, I really like your reviews since they take up good and bad in a non biased way. I am consider this one or the Lycaon TRX 3.0. The Lycaon use Molicell and Exway will not even say which cells they use on their webpage but I know they use Chinese cells. The Lycaon also have bigger Hobbywing motors. I have however heard Lycaon have problems with shipping and also stalling and lying about the delivery. What is your opinion? I agree about one thing, this board looks fantastic. Cheers

Hi Jonas, sorry I do not have any experience with the Lycaon. Since I am only a small channel, usually I am only able to source boards from friends or other contacts to test/review No one I know has tried the Lycaon yet so unfortunately I cannot comment on it.
