👍 Despite its shorter range and stiffer ride than many boards, I find that this is the one I tend to pick up when I need to go do an errand, especially now that a quick charger is available. I don’t store my boards at 100% charge so I would just quickly charge it up before I go out and bring the charger with me. If you can only have one board...Boosted may still be the most versatile I think. But if you can have two boards, I think Exway plus an AT board would be an excellent combo (and better than one Boosted).

I love my Exway X1, it's much more powerful than my Wowgo 2s. Maybe too powerful tho. I wiped out pretty bad because of a wet piece of road because of just how powerful it is. I love it's sleek design too.

I live in China, and I bought one on 11.11 (basically the Chinese Black Friday) for 4000 RMB (580 USD), it's usually about 4600 (650 USD). And that is still a very good price. So I think if anyone lives in China they should buy one. And I don't know the shipping cost to the US but maybe it could be shipped to the US for a little cheaper than the US price.

Always finding you doing GREAT work. Only bad note: don't even wanna bring up the new 60fps "standard", but guys your videos for a good 70% seem uploaded at 480p, even if we're watching at full definition. Damn, I am just so close to cancelling my Backfire Ranger and ordering an Exway or a Boosted Mini X/S... but I will persevere! Good review. Exway seem to be making a seriously good name for themselves.

Keep with the order of the Ranger. So far, all accounts show that it's an awesome AT board for the price. Buy the Exway in combo with the Ranger. Having the grab and go capability of the Exway for the streets and short range cruising, and then also being able to instead grab the Ranger for longer rides and the ability to tackle most any surface... That's a beautiful combo and it also avoids a ton of wear and tear on either board. I have an electric kick scooter (m365), a Boosted Stealth, an Exway X1, and plan to order the Ranger soon. That'll round out my line up with the best of what's available for almost every scenario and allow me to avoid over-usage on any of them.

Thanks! We use a relatively cheap AT2020 condenser mic that we purchased many years back. Can't say for sure whether it's the best option these days, but it's still treating us pretty well.

Why doesn’t the boosted board demonstrate voltage/amperage sag? I always thought that it was because the esc from boosted limits the top speed for the boards, even though the hardware could push it further. That’s why as the wheels got bigger, the top speed didn’t.

It's a hard one to answer, but in short, they don't use more thanaround 80% of the battery (on XR atleast) so they use the "comfort" zone of the battery and they use high current cells.

I also think its the layout of the batteries. Most boards with flat pack batteries like exway evolve and most others demonstrate this characteristic. Not a deal breaker for me though. A drop in speed by 1 or 2 miles is ok

Depends on the model, on the standard range they use LiFePo4 A123 cells that have a really flat discharge curve, so your top speed don't depend a lot of state of charge, on the long range batteries they use a higher voltage battery, 13S if I'm not mistaken, and limit speed in software, this way, the 18650 cells have more sag than the LiFePo4 ones, but with this approach you have headroom for the rider never fell the sag I do the same with my DIY boards, they are geared for 50 km/h at full charge but limited to 35 km/h in software, this way I have the same top speed down to almost 0% charge

So many awesome and more appropriately priced board available, why does everyone insist on comparing with the Boosted board ? It's not even the on my personal top 3 list, seems like this is just all part of their own marketing. hmm. I could be wrong. But geeze. Appreciate the reviews, but theres a serious element of bias when everyone lists the competitor as being the boosted board, which in itself is promoting the boosted board everywhere.

are you talking about the esc substitutes?? or mboards vesc?? if its esc substitutes than hell no, they can only output a max of 30a and are not suitable for high performance, also nobody knows how reliable mboards vesc are the safest option is to go with enertion focbox, also 6355 compares nowhere to the 6374, 6374 has tons more torque and power oh and also 190kv is the sweet spot not 180kv

The point about motors is completely untrue. Unless you're pushing enough current to exceed the thermal capacity of 6355 motors, there's no reason to use 6374s. They don't automatically provide more power-they just have the capacity to handle more. Using them with a 10s2p build would be utterly ridiculous.

@@ATLracing 6355 can do 30mph max while 6374 can go up to 45mph 6355:2.83Nm max torque 6374:3.57Nm max torque, since I run 10s4p with 30q power is not an issue, but lipos would be better they can go up to 200a with an 20c rating and 5000mah

@@alanzhou858 How did you decide 30 MPH was the max speed for 6355 motors? Not that I have any interest in going faster than that, but I'm quite confident it's doable without exceeding manufacturer ratings. All I'm telling you is that putting bigger motors on a 10s2p build (Foosted) would be like putting Veyron tires on a Porsche 911. It wouldn't make it any faster; it would only increase headroom. Also, with a 10s4p configuration, your peak power would be a little over 2000W, so I'd say you could be running 6355s and saving yourself some weight.
