Thank you...your video made feel much better. I have a 7 yr old Chorkie he just started getting the mucus on occasion. This morning was about the third time it's occurred and it was thicker than the other times. The whites of his eyes also had some redness to the veins in the eye under the lid.This also happens after an overnight sleep not during the day...what we use to call "sleep in the eye"..he does snore. He's due for an allergy shot I'm glad you mentioned that and will have Vet check eyes. His color is Fawn so there is some darkness but I just use a warm cloth and pup shampoo when he gets a bath. Thanks again 😃👍🏽👏🏾👏🏾

How much did the owner pay to get those drops $300? Vets charge way to much
@DrLera2 жыл бұрын
So it depends on how thorough you want to be and that is one factor that will affect the cost. If you want to get in and out as cheaply as possible you get some triple antibiotic ointment with no steroid, decline all the test and you just have to pay for the exam and the meds. Something else that you have to take into consideration is how much the pay for rent, and what the general cost of living is in the area. Those are some things that influence the cost of the visit. But medical care can get expensive especially if you don't have insurance for your pet.

Lmao ik right?! Its like geez, sure you gotta go to grad school and pay a ton of money to learn how to create pharmaceuticals…. Big whoop… all that medicine should be free and vets and doctors shouldnt make as much money to save peoples lives and be in charge of their healthcare!!!! They should hire walmart employees to go and monitor your cancer! We should all move to panama, i hear its super cheap to go to the vet there and they have the most elite doctors and vets in the world, people from other countries travel their to become vets and doctors and pharmacists!

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge...I have a Chihuahua pure white and he gets the dark discharge ,I had gotten the tear stain remover pads ,I have not used anything on him at all just regular bathing and wipe out eyes with a warm face cloth ,not to warm, !! But it doesn't take the dark stain away ,growing up my family used Boric Acid to wash the dogs eyes with ,but I cant remember if that took out the staining. I can look it up ,but I'd like to get that dark stain gone ,if possible...thank you once again,and have a great day...

To remove the dark stain you can use something like Angel eyes. That being said you're going to have to use something that's going to have some sort of potential negative side effect on your pet for an issue that is just aesthetic meaning there's no pathological problem that's causing what's going on with your dog. With my dogs I just make sure to wipe their eyes twice a day and make sure there's no accumulation of mucus I would not use boric acid

@@DrLera thank you ,my aunt used it on her dogs she just poured a little warm water in and mixed the boric acid and used a wash cloth ,it didn't seem to hurt or burn his eyes ,I assumed wrong I guess ,thank u ,I'll try the Angel eyes on my little guy..hope u have a good day 🐾🌅

What if my dog has a yellow mucus? Is there anything I can do
@kungfu_kenny41354 ай бұрын
Same. Only in one eye, and it’s kind of a lot. I clean it out ever 4 hours.

I have a one year old bull mastiff, he had discharge from his eyes which had now resulted in his eye getting cloudy? It happened in his right eye first but got better in a few days but it’s been persistent in his left eye. What can I do. The local vet is clueless
