I was really scared to go to the eye doctor but u just made me more confident
@isabellacabral50985 ай бұрын
Same I was confident at my eye doctors appointment I just had one this afternoon earlier today with the best eye doctor ever his name is Dr. Jason Hutchinson at Byron Optometry here in Canada 🇨🇦 I’ve been going to my moms eye 👁️ doctor since I was a kid and still do today my eye doctor that I usually see is Dr. Susan Buxton but she’s had foot surgery so she is only seeing a couple patients a day for right now but I told the new doctor and also I’m going to switch my eye doctor becyse I really liked the one that I had today he’s amazing because I told him that eye problems run in my family because my mom wears glasses when she drives, my dads sister my godmother Melissa also uses glasses when she drives and also she’s far sighted, me I’m also far sighted and need glasses for reading/ school work or power point school presentations if I’m sitting at the back of the classroom but when I was in Highschool they put me in the front because I told them I couldn’t see from far away but now I’m always sitting at the front of the classroom and also I told my optometrist Dr. H that my family has a lot of big birthdays coming up and that I’m going on vacation with my dads side of the family because they are all turning double digits and also that I want to work in a dental / medical office because I told him I’m starting college here at Fanshawe College in Canada 🇨🇦 I’m taking a special needs course called CICE- Community Integration Through Co- Op Education Program ) it’s a program that helps people with Disabilities get jobs because I grew up having a Developmental/ Learning Disability and also I’ve been on the ODSP- Ontario Disability Support Program) it’s a program that helps people in my province of Ontario here in Canada 🇨🇦 receive money from the government every month it started for me at age 18 but now a days I either have to choose work or Disability benefits but I’ve chosen work because it gives me a sense of community, fun, socialization and also purpose ) but in this program CICE there’s 4 courses you can take: Business, Photography, ECE- I’ve chosen this as my second option because I love little ones and I’ve taken my Highschool Parenting course with my favourite teacher Mrs. Hagle at Regina Mundi Catholic College RMC) like 10 times and also I’ve taken a YMCA babysitters course in elementary school at St. Francis Catholic Elementary school ), Cooking like culinary skills- I’ve taken cooking classes in Highschool with another one of my favourite teachers who’s now retired as of 2022 her name is Mrs. Bacon- Davies her classes were fun and also we got to watch lots of cooking movies and famous celebrity chefs. and also there’s Office Adminstration - I’ve chosen this one as my first option because I love the Healthcare field and also I would want to work at a dental office/ maybe now my optometrists office and also I want to work for either my orthodontists office Dr. Drew Smith of Smith Orthodontics and or my oral surgeon Dr. Kerr of Interface Oral Surgery Centre but my mentor Dave Debenedictis he’s Italian - Canadian but he was born here in Canada 🇨🇦 but his parents were born in Italy 🇮🇹 he works for an agency called Leads Employment Services it’s an agency that also helps people with Disabilities get jobs and he told me that my orthodontist had said that his new office is too small and that he’s not hiring right now and also but yet he’s hired 2 new dental assistants /1 new hygienist as of last year and also in one of his TikTok’s I saw a Gen Z just like me working but I completely understand why he’s not hiring also because he’s retiring soon I’ll miss him lots because my family dentist Dr. Susan and Jen Rumble of South London Dental Care Centre ) had recommended me to him be she I used to have braces back in 2014/2015 and also my optometrist checked the computer and said that the last time I ever had an eye exam was back in 2014/2015 but I’m glad that I went because now I want to switch my eye doctor from my moms eye doctor to someone else because this one was different than my moms eye doctor because as a kid I didn’t really get along with my moms eye doctor but maybe I will this time because I have to go back in September to get my glasses once my mom asks my case worker from my ODSP my Disability person to send the paper for my glasses to be covered under insurance because I have to be in school for my new glasses to be covered because my ODSP didn’t really cover too much for my new glasses. and also but my mentor told me that my oral surgeons office was interested in having me so I’m so excited but I’m going to tell my Co- Op teacher at college that I want now my oral surgeons office and my Optometrists office because they are very closely located and also my dads parents my grandparents live close to my oral surgeons office and also my Optometrists office and also my dads parents my grandparents also go to the same eye doctor as me and my brother Christian who’s turning 19 in August and also I’m 21 turning 22 in May of next year. 🤗🩷🤓👁️💐 Hello 👋 from London, Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 @Doctor Eyeball MD

Going to get my eye exam today! Kind of nervous as the last one I had done was in 5th grade and now I’m a senior, but will update once it is done. Thank you for this video so I know what to expect :) Edit: Well I need glasses! The air puff test was not bad at all luckily. They aren’t a super strong prescription but it makes such a difference!

Doc, my eye doctor has this machine that shows a picture of a country meadow and farm barn... they have me look into it and it goes blury and clear several times while the machine makes a bunch of clicking type noises. Any clue what that is and what its doing?

@@doctoreyeballmd7493 thank you! This is what I came here for! I have VERY blurred vision from fatigue due to chronic illness and by the time I get to the ophthalmologist, I can barely see straight from fatigue and I am always worried I messed up the eye exam. I can't see out of my new prescription and they have to redo them. The doctor said the patient does not have to participate for them to know your prescription and I didn't know if it was true the machine could tell your actual Rx.

Hello Dr, my left eye is seeing an oblong shape floaters that won’t go away for almost a week now, and it’s now blurry vision compare to my right eye. My appointment to the eye dr is in a couple of days more so I just want to hear what your opinion about that? It started when I keep staring at my computer screen and reading because of my studies. I hope its nothing serious

@@doctoreyeballmd7493 Can you make a video on how myopia can be cured? Are you referring to laser surgery as a possible cure? I'd be curious to learn the pros and cons of that type of treatment as well as any other info on myopia. It seems to be an extremely common problem.

I have a question, I remember watching a show when I was about 6 called Monsters Inside Me (which traumatized me) but there was an episode where a girl had a parasite in her eye. I remember her having to have a needle shove in her eye whiles she was awake and I don’t remember why, if you know how common this is or if it still done to rid parasites please tell me. Edit: here is a link to what I am taking about kzbin.info/www/bejne/imKToqCYapJ_d5I

I get so pissed off at eye exams. First, I always get to my appointment on time but end up having to wait at least a half hour. Every. Fucking. Time. Then I finally get in the “prep” room that’s not so bad, at least there is something happening. But then you have to go sit in another room for another fucking half hour before they can see you. By this time my blood is boiling and I am on a fucking hair trigger. Then people start shining bright lights in my eyes, which I was always told was a bad thing to do. And of course theres the added bonus of having blurry vision for the rest of the day. I can’t believe that after all these years they still haven’t come up with a better way to do this. I hate the fucking eye doctor. And he knows it. I have gone ballistic in his office more than once. All the waiting is the worst part.
