I’m confused, will eye closure cause a downward or an upward deflection? In the EEG primer, it says downward. And for eye opening, it’s an upward deflection.

How come when the eye moves to one side the graph spikes up (or down) but it doesn't stay up(or down) if you hold your eye in that direction? The positive cornea is still close to the electrode so shouldn't it stay up(or down) instead of spike and neutralize?

What does it mean if it spikes but you are not moving the eye? Example I had an eeg the lady thought I was rapid blinking and I wasn’t... what does that mean

Hey, thanks a lot for this tutorial, really appreciated it and it helped me a lot to detect horizontal eye movements in my eeg, but is there also a way to detect vertical eye movements ? thanks
