Is left eye twitching good?
Blinking lubricates and cleans your eyes by spreading your tears over its outer surface. It also protects your eye by closing it to keep out dust, other irritants, very bright light, and foreign objects. Babies and children only blink about two times per minute.
Occasional eye twitches are common. If you have eye twitches more often, you may have a condition called benign essential blepharospasm. In rare instances, eye twitching is from an underlying health condition. Bright lights, stress, fatigue, caffeine, and eye irritation may make symptoms of eye twitching worse.
How are eyelid twitches treated?
1. drinking less caffeine.
2. getting adequate sleep.
3. keeping your eye surfaces lubricated with over-the-counter artificial tears or eye drops.
4. applying a warm compress to your eyes when a spasm begins.
