THIS!!! This is what F1 should be all about. A proper engine with a proper engine roar sound with the proper view. This is what Ross Brawn should be looking into to bring back fans to the sport.
@Koleuz26 жыл бұрын
As much as the sound from the old aspirated petrol monsters was awesome, it will never come back. It's the same as wanting the old phones to come back, just because you like the sound it makes when it rings, or when you dial. They are not relevant anymore in todays world. F1 has always been about innovation, constantly pushing for new tech. Sooner or later, ICE's will meet their end, and F1 will be following that path. There is no changing that. F1 isn't about the sound an engine produces, or being pinned by roots of the past. Just think about it. If F1 was actually tied to its roots, and was about nostalgia, the cars would never have evolved from the V12, cigar shaped cars of the past. The only reason we had awesome cars in the past, and are getting awesome ones now, is because they constantly push.

@Koleuz2 You don´t believe how much I am mourning for the sounds, but You definately have a point!
@rdscorreia19746 жыл бұрын
Koleuz2 I beg to disagree. This doesn't have anything to do with nostalgia. I do want F1 to evolve. But this is as if cinema had suddenly gone mute. I don't mean speechless, I really mean mute. Take a great movie experience as an example. You expect great action acting from the actors, amazing camera angles and...Dolby digital surround sound with special effects. You take the last 7 words out and you've got nothing. No one wants to go watch that crap.
@Koleuz26 жыл бұрын
The thing is, you are obviously overreacting. First off, that comparison is meaningless, as cinema going mute would mean a drawback to todays technologies, not an advancement. It would be similar to modern cars going back to how they were in the 50's. The path to advancement and progress between both mediuns is completely different, and such a comparison holds no power. Second, the sound the modern engine produces are still loud and great. Not as good as it used to be, but it is good. But in the future, even that sound will dissapear. It is progress. There is no changing that. And make no mistake, F1 will still be going. Remember, F1 was never about the sounds of an engine. Therefore the lack of one wouldn't mean the sport has gone mute. It is not what F1 is about. I do respect your opinion though, as I also miss this sound. But it will never come back, and is that for the worse? I don't believe so.

The sound was never part of F1's DNA. It has always been about innovation, constantly researching new technology. Not about being pinned down by the roots of the past. Koleuz2 No F1 was about racing, the best racing, best drivers racing the fastest cars and the best engineers to build the fastest car possible using what ever worked the best, but idiots like you think its more important to innovative then it is to use what worked best for racing because after all its still a race. Modern rules do nothing but make it impossible to actually compete against one another from tires that are only good for 3 lap of hard driving, or fuel limits , and aero regulations that cause dirty air making it impossible to overtake. All of those rules discourage drivers from pushing to car and testing their skill by competing, now its a a competition to see which team has the best bureaucrats. There is better racing at a local gokart track!
@nibv69966 жыл бұрын
I'll be Frank I'm Leary about using my name I completely agree with you, If you're looking for some pure racing you should take a look at Motocross or MotoGP, even irish road racing for that matter. No pitstops, almost no fuel or tyre management and fair engine regulations and most of all loud engines, in f1 or any other 4 wheeler racing series, the driver is only 20-30% of the equation in motorcycle racing its the opposite and if the budget limitation and bureaucracy comes into play aswell, ehhhh... Take for example Johann Zarco, He currently uses the 2016 Yamaha M1 in a satelite team and still does better that the 2018 factory Yamaha's and the guy is a big talent its not just luck. FIM >>>> FIA
