The calibrated sculk sensor got buffed recently; it now has twice the detection radius as a normal sensor and also has a pulse duration of 1 second instead of 2 seconds An even easier way to get a certain redstone signal strength is to use a comparator with a lectern and have a book on it with 15 pages, and the output depends on which page the book is turned to

There being a tone for destroying blocks could make for a really cool alarm system for pvp forts. One of the hardest to deal with parts of fortification in minecraft is that it's super easy to break through a wall without being noticed. Set up a system to make alarms go off when blocks are broken, and you can alert other players of an intruder--probably without the intruder even realizing that such an alarm system exists until it's too late!

A way to set the frequency that a calibrated sculk sensor listens to is by placing a lectern with a 15-page written book inside it next to a redstone comparator connected to the calibrated sculk sensor and turning the page number to the specific frequency that is desired can do the work too.

Now imagine this: A Calibrated Relay - It is similar to a Calibrated Sensor, in which it only operates at a specified frequency, but can only transmit signals to other sculk blocks EXCEPT other Calibrated Relays tuned to different frequencies. In conjunction, a Calibrated Decoder, which cannot detect sound, that turns the frequency from a Sculk sensor system to an analog Redstone signal, matching the frequency transmitted.

A cool way to really calibrate a sculk sensor would be to use noteblocks. Have a calibrated sculk sensor, place an amethyst block next to it for resonance, then place a noteblock on the input side. The sensor would now only react to that specific note. This way, it would allow for truly wireless redstone, without the risk of unnecessary interference by someone randomly eating a porkchop in the area. Unfortunately, it does not work that way 😒
@thecakedeliver948711 ай бұрын
why would you want this tho? what does it accomplish because you wouldn’t be able to make the noteblock play without further redstone, making it useless
@PsiQss11 ай бұрын
@@thecakedeliver9487 Let's say you have selector panel with different noteblocks and sculk sensors calibrated to each of them. So each button signal is activating a specific sculk sensor. Now, having a note block on the input side, those sensors would not react to any other vibration than said note block. So you wouldn't have to worry about ambient interference (like a zombie growling and activating something accidentally) Furthermore, since sculk sensors do emit a redstone signal, you could also have the same noteblock on the output side, therefore playing the noteblock and extending the signal.

Question: So if the calibrated sculk sensor vibration travels a certain distance, will the redstone signal be the distance it travels? (e.g the vibration travels 5 blocks the redstone signal will be 5)
@e_s_egoldie5051 Жыл бұрын
Hey idk if you will even see this but no, the distance the redstone signal travels will always be the same when it’s coming from a calibrated skulk sensor (and regular skulk sensor), which is different to redstone. This is what eyecraft means when he says the redstone signal is preserved wirelessly, if the signal is 13 but it travels 7 blocks, the signal will still be 13 and vice versa. Hope this helped in some way
