Thank you for showing how to rotate the scene in isometric view. I could not find how to do it, but the solution to rotate the null with all the elements is so simple!

well done, also because you discussed problems and workarrounds when importing this to #AfterEffects, which I think is important to know for beginners.

Thanks! For sure, I always struggled with this when I started wanting to bring in Isometric animations from AE to C4D and realized the issues.

I don't get why this channel is still under 40.000 subs, you should get way more positive feedback for these awesome tutorials. Greetings fellow colleague, ArmaganVideos.

Grab the Art Smart plugin from cineversity (its free). You can import .ai files without down saving to v8. Nice looking work!

How would I achieve the true isometric angle and view with the perspective camera? I'm trying to composite illustrations that are at a precise isometric angle.
@eyedesyn5 жыл бұрын
crank up the perspective view focal length and sensor size to 200/200 or so...I cover this in the tutorial at 6:15

Hi EJ, how to create a material like yours? If you already create a tutorial, please point me where can I learn... Thank you... :)

This was just a basic material with a bit of Luminance enabled!

is there a way to import without using illustrator? I have after effects and c4d but not illustrator. thank you
@eyedesyn7 жыл бұрын
Good question, I'm not sure if there is. Youd need to prepare the vector maze element first so for this workflow you'd need Illustrator. Not familiar with other softwares that do something similar.
@globaltesoro7 жыл бұрын
ok, thank you
@Crimsonpattyletsplay7 жыл бұрын
you can use paths from photoshop then make them into splines and exude them. Not as easy but its a solution.
@globaltesoro7 жыл бұрын
cool. I'll just do that then. Thank you!

I see you're working on a mac. Do you think it is a good idea to buy a macbook for working in cinema? Or a notebook with windows? im struggling with this question right now :D
@eyedesyn7 жыл бұрын
Depends! If you're doing to be doing a lot of more 2D compositions in C4D, you don't need a lot of processing power. But if you want to go more 3D, I'd err towards a PC!

how do i make the material like this, different color for top and sides????
@eyedesyn7 жыл бұрын
Just a simple Color and Luminance material with some Ambient Occlusion turned on.
@rockdfunk7 жыл бұрын
also have the same question, was not able to figure it out from your short description. Love all your tuts btw!
@fgarciaish7 жыл бұрын
Also, if you're working directly in After Effects... I extruded some shape layers, for example, once I changed the "renderer" settings in the comp settings to Cinema4d. The shape's FILL COLOR controls the "top", and the the STROKE COLOR controls the sides (keep stroke width low, like 0.1). An ambient light and some parallel lights will also help give different shadings to the sides.

@eyedesyn7 жыл бұрын
Not sure, there are different file formats you can save out of other than AI I believe, but you could always just make your own splines inside of C4D...a lot more work but I'm not aware of any Maze Generators for C4D
