I have always struggled with liner on my top lid and I've never been able to wing it out. I've watched lots and lots of videos and still struggled but I watched this video and then went and did it!! For the first time ever I am wearing winged eyeliner!! Thank you Sam and Nik. You are both awesome :)

i have hooded eyelids but I have learned how to use gel or felt-tip pen eyeliner... The trick for me is to do the flick with my eyes open, and basically draw the flick on top of my "skin rolls" lol and then closing my eyes and filling in the empty spaces that remain after my skin is straightened.... I hope that makes sense!

This was very helpful. One of my eyes is a bit hooded and I've been struggling with getting a wing liner to match so this helps. I hope in the future you can show more of the tutorials up close from start to finish. In your past videos it was hard to see some of what you did on the models. Very informative video, getting a proper flick has been the bane of my life but having figured out I have slightly hooded eyes, it's much easier to work my liner to suit my shape rather than trying to copy flicks etc that just don't work for me. Thanks guys xxx

I have hooded eyes and I have been using a black eyeshadow for eyeliner at times, spritzed with mac fix+. that way its still pigmented enough to do a wing/flick and not transfer.

Thanks guys! Love my liner but I'm always getting in a faff with it. Definitely starting to prime and use eyeshadow as per the tip. I've got partially hooded eyes where the outside edge of the hood also extends down below where I'd otherwise have the flick, if that makes sense? My eyes aren't down-turned but the hood is! Any tips for getting around this? In the past I've drawn a bizarre triangle shape in the outer corners which looks good when my eyes are straight-on but weird any other way.

What to do when the angle of the lower lashline is quite different on the right and the left eye? Still follow this line on both sides or adapt the angle of the flick to even this difference out? Thanks for your videos, they're brilliant.

Hi, I hope you can help me as I have always wanted to try a gel liner and as of yet have not been able to master the art! The angled brush that I got with my liner is very fluffy and almost like an eyeshadow brush I suppose whereas the angled brush you use looks firmer. Should I invest in a firmer brush or are they one and the same? Hope you can help!

That was an awesome video guys. Very helpful. But i have almond shaped hooded eyes can you do a tutorial on that? I tend to get a lot of transfer even with a primer and even my eyeshadow transfers so i tend to take my eyeshadow clear up to the crease and then "make" a crease slightly above my own. Maybe you coukd do a tutorial for eyeshadow and eyeliner on a hooded almond shape eye.
