So in depth! I feel a lot of people wear makeup just because of Trends and it's not flattering to their face shape. I personally have problems with the infamous Wing because of the way my eyes are shaped at the corners
@njc13046 жыл бұрын
MzzzExtra you are sooo right. I love Christen Dominique, however, our eyes are so different, so while I re-created some of her gorgeous looks my eyes looked a little 😕? off. I realized I had to emulate her tutorials by *my* eye "rules (sounds so silly, since makeup has no rules [but you get the jiff]). Hopefully, you will soon find loopholes to master the look you want.
@autumnakins76406 жыл бұрын
Nyc 123 that makes a lot of sense. There are just certain things you gotta do for certain effects. If you have droopy eyes AND you want to lift them, do this and that. I do the same with tutorials.

Okay but I just need to say: THANK YOU for using a beautiful inspirational woman for showing “droopy” eyes!! I’ve always been so self conscious of mine (ever since watching a KZbin video saying you need to “fix” downturned eyes because they look like “basset hound eyes” 😢) and it’s so nice to hear someone saying they aren’t ugly ❤️ ❤️
@ChantelStays5 жыл бұрын
I love how you give praise and encouragement to droopy or hooded eyes. I have droopy eyes and I’ve never liked them, I personally do find almond eyes with a high corner very attractive- reminds me of butterfly wings. But honestly, you are so sweet to give such love to all diversity of eyes

I have done this for a while whenever I do eyeliner. I just noticed that it looked better on my downturned eyes to „stop“ the liner before it reaches the outer corner of my eye. You explanation now makes me understand why that looks better on me!

Thank you Aly for spreading the message of understanding one's body and working with the lines the nature has given us instead of blindly following beauty gurus tutorials who look completely different than we do! I started to understand why I always felt better with big hair and in clothes without sharp lines and this makeup tip is very useful too. Please do a video on male body types or on how to see what bodytype someone is if they are overweight or even obese. That would be nice to know :3

It is so true!! I've tried so many tricks for hooded eye eyeliner, and felt like didn't work. One day I just did it not in the outer corner of my eye, but before and above the outer corner and I liked it a lot!! But I thought it was wrong that the liner was not so close to the lash line.

Can you make a video on eyelid space. Some people have very close eyebrows with little lid space, and I have very high brows. I have a hard time knowing how far up I should take my eyeshadow. Some tutorials show the eyeshadow going all the way to the brow, but I would look crazy if I did that.
@Softnsweetbb5 жыл бұрын
Nikki W look up makeupgeek she has HUGE eye lid space. It’s the best for eyeshadow tbh
@KawaiiKandi4 жыл бұрын
Yes me too!! I have hooded eyes with pretty much no lid space when looking straight.. but the space from my crease to eyebrows is so much! Everytime I follow a tutorial with someone with eyes opposite of me, it looks weird and clownish. Cut creases have to be done much differently too. I recommend Robert Welsh! He is a professional makeup artist. He has helped my makeup look so much better than any influencer. Plus he has hooded eyes as well. (But less eyebrow to crease space😩) I followed his beginner cut crease tutorial and my colors didn't look muddy when blending. He gives so many good tips. I blended the eyeshadow too far up so it looked somewhat clownish to me but didn't notice until I had went into the bathroom (better lighting). If anyone has any other artists who have my eye shape please let me know!

Dear dear Aly. Could you please make a video some time on actresses' breakout roles & movie costumes (not) matching their body types? E. g. January Jones is of Classic body type - which is further supported by her most famous role as the 50s housewife in Mad Men. :) Or, the girl next door played by the Naturals like Jennifer Aniston... Do you think this is true? It would be so PRECIOUS to hear just your personal observations and ideas on that one!
